Don't Die
This would add the following: Streaks Guild Raids Bounty Hunting (End someone's streak for gralats) More shops to resupply in other towns. Guild vs Guild action. All right so for this to work. Spawns will have to be changed from spawning where you laid to spawning where you usually lie... Changing spawns to beds... "Why beds????", said orange boy. Just because it's cooler. Looks like you fell in battle, and are now fully rested after a good sleep. Examples of Spawns: For Swamp Gnome Cave, and Adventurer's Pub ![]() ![]() When you Die you drop gralats, 10% of what you own. Maybe I'm being too crazy, but that would increase pk activity, and the bank would be highly recommended. Imagine if you have 300k, that's a 30k drop... 1mill.... 100k. Use the bank. Also, potions will become your new best friends. Buy em when you are entering the danger zones. ![]() You can buy said potions in the tavern under the bridge. ![]() TL;DR Use bank to store gralats. Buy potions. Die and spawn in bed. Make sure you don't die, because you will drop 10% of gralats. I am open to suggestions on what others think a "Fair" percentage of gralat drops should be. Something that would strike fear, without it being all your gralats...

i think it'd be cool if we dropped gralats, would definitely give a new perspective to PKing and not wanting to die and such. But either way, I don't really mind. I absolutely hate respawns. They may give some use to older buildings, and it could also add to the effect of avoiding death, but I really think it ruins the game and its rather annoying as you can experience on Era and Ol West. |

This would be horrible for those poor people playing on 3rd gen ipods and iphones, there needs to be a system that would accommodate players who want to pk and those who don't if a scheme like this were to ever exist for the sanity of all. For example, being able to opt in and out of pking by speaking with someone in graal city.

Yes is for the people who want it to be more of a challenge, and have a ... negative effect on dying. Want to have that feel of surviving at all costs, slashing there way through the forest filled with enemies, letting no one stop them from completing their journey. I also hate having to respawn somewhere else, but what makes it fun is knowing that you will make another person have to respawn somewhere else after you took their gralats. Maybe add in a 3 second timer to respawn in order to give the dead player a chance to complain ![]() No is for the opposite... careless, laid back, want to just relax... I mean you can still have that 100 ap saint effect, that's not going away. Btw, this won't change the tower spawns.

People don't need an extra incentive to pk. There's more pkng in iclassic than anything else. I doubt gralat drops will ever occur since some of them are bought with real money. I hate the idea of having spawn points. Some of my best pk battles were no running tryhard mode, just a battle of wills until someone broke down and gave up. Wouldn't a low ap make the potions useless? |

Wow, I just noticed that people would not have those BOOST mobs anymore. Yeah, exactly that would promote people to pk more, especially outside of tower areas, where it would be dangerous. I can see people forming raids, and taking down others in groups ![]() just a concept though, would be fun to raid with guilds. Yes, that would have to be changed to "can not use potions in this area" when you are in a tower

Maybe by adding, "Saints can't get hurt outside of towers" period. Would provide full immunity. OOOOPS. Also, to prevent people from chugging pots, a limit should be added to potions. Maybe max 1 or 2 potions. That way people won't chug em, kill, run away, repeat. |

I played when you'd drop all your items and money and I've played when you dropped a little bit of cash. Dropping 5-10 graalats is fun when you kill people. People definitely shouldn't spawn exactly where they died with no effect. This server has the most boring pking.

Interesting idea, opens up alot of cool possibilities but also a few problems I guess. I like the idea of actually being robbed if you're running around with 20 k gralats in your pocket, but sometimes its fun to have a big brawl sessions with some friends without having to wait for em to run from a bed. I guess certain areas like towers and designated pk zones could be instant-spawn but the rest of the overworld would follow these survival rules. Would be fun! |

There are still some designated pk zones out there. Those would still be instant. I think all of them are pretty much inside buildings.
This is the way I see it if this were added. You take some money out of bank, enough to buy potions. You open up your map, decide which routes you will take to get to the next location safely. Make sure you stay away from "Raiders" (guilds who will gang up on incoming travelers). After that, you travel as quickly as possible. Oh no! you see some raiders. You managed to maneuver through them, and heal up with your potion. You now have only one potion left, so make it count. You reach your destination with 0.5. You go to the nearest pot shop, and buy some more potions. Planning, having to survive, and defend against possible hordes of enemies. Not knowing which route will be safe, and not knowing whether you will be able to complete your journey, that's fun

I like this idea. Maybe the percentage of gralats dropped on death could be reduced a little, but everything else I completely agree with. A solution for this could be all gralat packs get automatically transferred to your bank instead of your inventory after purchase. Then players would need to take them out in order for their money to be at risk. Since they're remaking the tutorial already (at least I think they still plan to), they could add a bank on balamb island that new players have to use to complete the tutorial. That way their gralats are stored in the bank before they return to the mainland where players might potentially try to farm them of their precious tutorial gralat reward. |

Also gives them a chance to explore the world, without getting spawned in a building unknown to them, and then they have no clue where to go or what to do, because they can't explore in peace. And yeah, I guess buying gralats should automatically go to the bank. Yes, I'm up for suggestions on what others think a fair drop would be. Enough to give more incentive to pk in areas that aren't towers. Not sure if swamp should be unaffected by this due to the giant blob mobs, and people farming. |
