Are undeciphered maps found anywhere particular, or do you just dig, kill baddies, and loot anywhere? Which method seems to find them best?

The secret bandit cave on the railway by swamp is where I got most of mine which is around 15-20. If you ever do Pyrat quest you'll pick up a few as well

Just above swamp town, below unstuck me. There is a mountain/hill thing (just before you enter swamp) and its on the left.

Its to the right of the rail cave going from york to snowtown. As soon as you get out of the water it is on the right.
