It's about a half gem half human named Steven and his uh mom/aunts/guardians They go on missions together... The first episode is dumb but from the middle of S1 until now it has lots of feels. And gayness and feels and tears. Crying. And pain Oh and it's funny sometimes and the characters are unique and pearl is a bird |

The show is amazing. In the last six months I've became obsessed with it. Its probably my favorite cartoon since The Last Airbender. Not to overhype it, it has some flaws, but its definitely a quality show. Its very similar in structure to Gravity Falls and adventure time, where it starts off episodic and later on starts to have a plot (and gets a lot more intense). If you're interested in the show, I'd advise sticking through with the whole first season despite whatever you thinks of the beginning. The episodes are only 11 minutes long so you can probably get through it in a few days. One of the show's flaws is that it starts off a little weak; the first 10 or so episodes aren't all that good in my opinion but then it starts to really increase in quality during the second half of season 1. If you get to the season finale and don't like it then this show isn't for you. Despite being a kids show, its so complex, and has a really deep and intricate lore that lots of children could miss. The characters are some of the most complicated I've seen in children cartoons in a very long time. Lots of really intriguing themes are tackled in later episodes, some you have to really pay attention in order to notice. Its also got some great music. Here's a few (non spoilery) songs I like.
