Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta!

If any gamers out there want a good challenge, this year's Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta is starting in a few days. (June 16th) It's a charity event to raise money for Child's Play, a program that donates consoles and games to hospitals so kids have something to do during their stay besides having to worry about being sick. You are not required to pledge any money to register, but I would strongly encourage anyone participating to do so. It will make a big difference to these kids.

You will need a twitter account in order to participate, and there are some rules you have to abide by, depending on what kind of run you're doing. You can register here by tweeting what the generator gives you after picking the rules you want to follow, and donation pledges are done in the same way. Registration will still be open after the event starts, and the deadline for completing the game is September 1st.

Once you are registered, your name will appear on the Players list, and whenever you unlock a new set of jobs from a crystal, you tweet #wind, #water, #fire, and #earth to Gilgabot (@FF5ForFutures) and it will automatically assign the next job you are required to use. Your icons on the player page will then update as well, so other people will be able to see your progress so far. There are also going to be a lot of live streams available, in case you're interested in watching other people try to complete the challenge.

Finally managed to beat the game, and raised a decent chunk of money for Child's Play as well.

I wound up with a White Mage, Knight, Sorceror, and Time Mage. Here's the footage of the final battle.

Bumping this again, because it's that time of year!

This year, though, I'll actually be streaming this, in addition to recording the final fight. Usually each night from 10 PM - 2 AM EST or longer.

If you want to join me by chatting in twitch or through skype, I'd love to have some company and I'll try to respond if things aren't getting too intense. :]
