But Asia has a pretty solid team with the Pinoys and Japanese. Europe has a good team with Germans, French and Brits. Middle East has a good team. Australia can join up with someone else or something. But what i'm trying to say is regions to have great teams there'd be no point combining them into a system of 1v1 sparring. I think it'd be better seeing these regions face up against each other not necessarily being countries.

My problem with that is that it narrows down the participants a lot per region, especially if it were to be guild spar. You're right in that other regions could put together solid 5v5 teams to participate, but it leaves a lot of people out. Plus that limits USA to Thallen/Brett/Ares/Jack/Primetime or something that would be kinda silly. Think of all those left out who could participate, and how much closer the competition could be otherwise.

then just make more regions so more people can participate. More teams make the tournament more fun anyway. For example, split USA in to western, central, and eastern.

I don't really see that happening because I proposed the idea of having regions where there aren't many people to join up together e.g. Australia and South America.

Can just do both a week a part. It'd be good uniting the entire sparring community. It shows which Region are the best GSers and the best 1v1 sparrers.
