GTX 750 ti (1gb) vs palit GTX 460 (1gb) OC vs EVGA GTX 460 (850mb) FTW OC
So i'm getting a good deal on these 3 graphics cards.I was wondering what would be the best price:performance card that i couod have for my bro's new gaming pc. GTX 460 (1gb) costs me around $120 Gtx 460 ftw (768mb) around $95 and,GTX 750 ti around $120 The price doesn't matter.I just want whichever is the best. O and a GTX 470 (1gb) for $130. Thnx peeps <3 |

Would recommend the 750 Ti. Not only because it's 3 generations newer, supports more features and has more support from nVidia in general, but because it beats out the 460 in most categories: http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-...eForce-GTX-460 In general though, I'd stick to the newer generation cards of similar skews because, as you can see here: http://www.techspot.com/article/928-...red/page7.html Older generation cards from the same skew perform far worse than cards from newer generations. |

You'd be better off spending an extra $20 to get a video card that is three generations newer. Toxicturn linked helpful visuals to give you an idea of the performance increases on newer cards compared to older ones. To answer your last question, yes a 750ti at $120 is a good buy. Most places I can find it at right now sell for $150.

Can you give the specs? I'm trying to get a cheaper gaming computer build since I have to sell my old gaming computer here when we move.

Of the 3, the 750 TI is probably your best bet. It is newer so its more likely to get driver support from NVIDIA for newer games. The only problem is 1 GB of VRAM is kinda low for modern games. With that said, I'd recommend spending like $10 more for a r9 270 if you can. It has 2 GB of GDDR5 and blows the 750 TI out of the water for just $10 more. |

AMD's driver support has been just fine in recent years, they're improved a lot. NVIDIAs driver support on the other end has been declining. It seems like every driver update from NVIDIA has screwed something up. First they break Physx cards, then they ruin performance on the 600/700 series, and so many other screwups. AMD's drivers are only a problem if you plan on running Linux. The whole reason people say AMD has bad driver support is because it was questionable back in 2008, but nowadays its just fine on windows, but it could use a little work on Linux. |

But then again...now i need to chose either a r7 270 or hd 6770. http://www.extremetech.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/AMD-NV-Feature-640x353.jpg (Unsupported image host) this made me come to my conclusion. |

R9 280x would be overkill for me. All i do is either video editing or Ps...and in my free time, gaming. hd 6770 is just enough for me. |
