My budgie flew away when I came home, my mom told me she left it outside and then she laughed and wanted to blame me. I took care of that budgie for months, I bought him, I fed him, I cleaned his cage for him, I also even bought him toys. My parents always hated my bird because he left "trash". Now the female is all alone and sad... I need tips on how to make my female budgie happy, she is depressed and lonely. I am also sad because my mom said that it was all my fault, everyone laughed at me.  

When I was 13 or 14 I had a parakeet that died from internal injuries from when it would jump off of our furniture (couldn't fly due to clipped wings). I cried for an hour when my mom told me in the morning.

I don't think I can help you with your bird though, maybe give it a new toy that looks like its dead friend or something.

The male one flew away not died.
And that's cruel to give someone a toy of his dead loved one.

A small domesticated bird is going to be dead in a few days trying to survive on its own.
And molesting a bird isn't much less cruel.

Idk,maybe someone else caught him and is right now feeding him fruit cake while it is sitting in its cage in front of the fire.
