Saxophone
So I'm an alto saxophone player and I was planning to borrow an alto over the summer but my music teacher ran out so I had a choice between a tenor or baritone. I chose tenor because I'm not that big and the baritone would probably be the hardest thing to hold for me and I was wondering is it hard to play the tenor? I was told it was the same keys and such but is there any differences besides the notes being played out?

I skipped alto and went straight to tenor, it's pretty much the same just a little bigger and you'll have to blow harder. Just find a sitting position that's good for you and feels comfortable, if you can't comfortably sit with it then you won't find any fun in playing it. Pumped Up Kicks - Foster The People was the first tenor song I learned, it's an easy song so if you ever need something to practice with I would suggest that. |
