Is there anything pertinent to the quests going on in Destiny and if so, could someone walk me through?

On that, should I still have this scarf I got a long time ago as part of one of the previous quests?

Ahhhhhh I just realized that I didn't cover any chests.
There's five chest in the West part of the wall, three chests in the rat hole.
