This has also been suggested before but from the sound of it there will be no implementation of this idea.  

Why not let experienced players have the most input?
They'll have the best choice.

Look at the outfits of newer, less experienced players. Would you want them choosing what the gst hat looks like? I wouldn't.
It's not like Death killer (graal best pro armi) will win gst, why let him and his guild convince the hat makers to make the gst hat something stupid or appealing to players that have no chance of winning?  

16 teams, so 1/16 odds for each team to win, right? Right?

Obviously, sometimes there are upsets within games, but overall teams still have advantages as you can see with the odds from a CS tournament here:


And if it were the same odds for each team, why would betting even exist?

Either way, I don't think David is saying that the winners should choose the hats, but the people who compete, and have a higher chance of winning should have a bigger say than others.

Also, do you see any of the recently made GST hats being worn by the people that have won? How about the GST hats from a looong time ago? Personally, I still see those sometimes.  

Nope! Apparently everyone has an equal chance of winning. Alumni vs. Teddy Bear Army? 50% chance. WAR vs Glitter Power? 50% chance.

All of this arguing is distracting from the larger point being made, which is "Hey, admins. Can you make nicer gst hats? Even the people flaming and derailing in this thread agree that they're usually ugly as sin. Try something new."

I personally thing Brick made the best point here. But as Fulgore said, that has already been suggested and won't happen (inexplicably).

Lol since when did more experienced sparrers have better looking outfits than less experienced? Everything is preference. More experienced players aren't necessarily going to have better looks, and there will always be people to disagree on the hat style because it is all preference.

I say we host a fashion show, and the top 10 gets to decide the hats
