There have been other threads, asking for more auctions, nothing has happened. I think they've made the event items EC only so people just can't buy them anymore. Thus keeping them rare. I do think they should do auctions for things like some of the EC items (not the new event items, such as the Hyrule Dagger, Lightsaber, etc) But the older ones, like the Hunter's knife, Katana, Kiwi should be auctioned off every now and then. Or even Auction off alternative items like the gold uzis or water pistols or even just guns.
