If it's an MMO you enjoy don't quit it, just don't play it as much as you do.

People who think playing MMORPG's will ruin your life have no idea what they are talking about, it isn't the game that ruins someones life it's the persons fault.

My aunt and uncle who are both over 50 play World of Warcraft all the time, in fact our guild consists of over 30 people we know in real life who are adults living a perfectly fine life while playing something they enjoy.

If he enjoys playing that genre, then stopping him from playing it is the stupidest idea possible, everybody needs to be able to do something they enjoy in order to relieve things like stress and to get away from having to constantly slave away in the real world. Taking away that enjoyment will probably just have a negative effect if anything.

Dude, if you can't put down a game to study/do your homework for a couple of hours, then you might as well not even try to stop. At this rate, if you do try to stop, you're just gonna think about it all day and then pick the games right back up. Either way, your grades are going to suffer. Unless you can somehow find some self control, there is not much you can actually do.

I don't know what you're studying, but if you're serious about doing good in school and retaining the stuff you learn it would be wise to cut down on gaming significantly. Concentrate on school and get it over with. Once you're done with school you can go back to the burger refuge in iClassic and get ratings on your pic/avatar.

I'm sure there's going to be one dumb ass that is going to come here and say that you can game a lot and still keep your grades up because he does it. Don't pay attention to him, he's a freaking ******.

Developing self control isn't really that hard, clearly he cares about the topic at hand and that just makes it easier.
