Air Asia
Wasn't there a Town called Air Asia because Graal was sponsored by the Airplane company or something? On the radio I just heard that a plane of them was found in the ocean :0

Is it that time of the month for Graalians.com users or something? Jesus christ. Yeah, GraalOnline was sponsored by Air Asia, bit unfortunate though that this has happened, poor families that were directly involved. |

I give my prayers to the families of the victims...may their souls rest in peace. It really is such a sad event, because there was a man who was planning to get married when he got back from that flight, and there were even some children aboard the plane.

Well you get what you pay for. As harsh as this may sound, the passengers of flight QZ8501 paid as little as 100$ for their tickets. Most of us would be quite satisfied for that price. You save a lot of money while being given an adequate air service. Behind those champagne bottles lie another story. Air Asia is a low budget airline. If they are not profiting from their cabins, then they are from their flight deck. Their pilots are ill trained and not unionized. Asian pilot qualifications are severely low in contrast to Western nations and are willing to hire anyone who reaches them as their is a high demand for them on that continent. The insurance companies know this as force airlines to pay airlines much more if two Asian pilots are in the cockpit. This explains why the second pilot was French. As to the lack of unions, this forces pilots to make risky decisions endangering their own passenger. Upon analysis, trained pilots would never have attempted to fly around the storm with their amount of fuel. The safe decision would have been to turn back and land in the nearest airport. However, as they lack job security, the pilots make stupid decisions which would save the airline money else they may lose their jobs. Either they toughen the laws as to be more pro-worker or passengers pay more for a safer airline. |

As far as i know both the pilots had more than 6000 flight hours.Would u still consider them "ill trained" and "not unionized"???

European pilots have little desire to work for companies like Air Asia. The pay is nothing compared to Western airlines. The reason why they work there is to build up their flight hours in order to be hired by a reputable airline such as Air France in his case. The co-pilot had 2000 hours which is approximately 1-3 years of flight experience on a commercial airline depending on the amount of work they do. (Maximum is roughly 1200 hours per year) He's there because the other companies didn't hire him as he wasn't qualified for their positions. The fact that they made a unnecessary risky decision supports the fact that they were ill trained. The fact that Air Asia workers don't have a union is why they are "not unionized." This was human error and the pilots are to be blamed. |
