In Final Fantasy 1 on GBA (Gameboy advanced) theres a gravestone in I believe elfheim with the simple word Link written on it. I just started playing Final fantasy so, I'm not sure if Link is some random NPC in previous games or what but here's my reason for saying games are linked first with somewhat of links. (Ha get it.. Links.. Because this is about li- nevermind)

1.It is confirmed Link is not kokori because of an official .. "Official" manga of the game series and it is said Link was abondon by his mother due to circumstances so the great deku had to raise.
Hence the pointy ears he is an elf.. Lets just face it. He's an elf.

2. Link is signified as a hero of time which in some stand points makes one god-like. And as TheGameTheorists(really good youtuber..he is love and life) FF hates religion. So right there another LINK / PROOF(ahh it never gets old)

3.The villages name is Elfheim and of course its filled with elfs. And like I said before Link has the pointy ears and usually that sumbolizes elves so ya..

Okay I have more proofs! I think the theory ultimately is they are connected but I could also say that this village could be a mockery of LOZ. I mean if you think about it it's kinda there :0

-The gravestone in FF could be the fault of when link dies in Majoras Mask and after he completes his mission he finally rests in peace in Kokiri which is many years later turned into Elfheim

-Both games have kings and queens. Monarchies.

-Both games include elf-like people that Link is categorized in.

-Elfheim where gravestone is found includes a blacksmith and when you touch a rack of swords the blacksmith will say, "You can't touch those. They're only for display."
They could be super crappy swords or swords that were once wielded by the hero of time.

-Both games include blacksmiths so it could w possible the blades were passed down from generations

But, possibly the game just really hates the legend of zelda franchise. It is pretty popular so is FF. Which is pretty sad they had to kill the main character I mean.. The could've killed Zelda and that would end the series forever in that world at least. Because Link is kinda reborn again and again .

Maybe the fall of that franchise. But it could be the same about zelda. If you honestly think about it maybe not zelda but actual Nintendo. In my opinion Nintendo is doing poorly. That's saying a lot coming from me because I love nintendo that's all I ever owned was nintedo But, they are repeating the virtual boy with the wii-u. Usually Nintendo makes inexpensive products for everyone to enjoy but if you look at the wii-u and virtual boy both were mega expensive for their times and have a very bad battery life. And what does nintendo do about that? Make you buy an extra battery thing to increase the life. And just like the virtual boy it was rushed. No one knew how to program the thing or even program games for it so it made it harder for 3rd party companies to make games for it and money like EA, Ubisoft, etc. I like the idea of Nintendo trying something new but honestly I think they are going in the wrong direction. They don't have much variety anymore and all they are making is remakes. What's next? A remake of Heart Gold and SoulSilver? In fact a remake of all the games that were compatiable with ds lite and ds ? They need to take their time with things like this. Or they'll do remake after remake. The thing is also, I had a bunch of wonderful game ideas but on the official site it shows how arrogant they are saying they are highly advanced technology team who basically doesn't need anyones input. Which is ignorant. That's just how I feel xD
