Oh right I havent actually posted my opinion yet.
Its a good idea, but sounds like youre just getting tower time for guild sparring repeatedly (unless no one challenges). I'm all into incorporating skill into towering, but ya gotta keep the relevance of the fact that its a fort.

People are always arguing and ruining a perfectly fine forum and demolishing (what should be) a great idea by hating on each other. Like if you're going to post something on here, it should be something that's actually helpful, All I see is Comyt starting an Argument (For no reason) and people in Alumni defending themselves from him, Like what are you expecting? People are obviously going to talk back if you talk about them. If you have nothing positive to say it isn't hard to just shut your mouth and keep it to your self. I'm pretty sure everyone on the forums wants you to shut your mouth because 100% of the things you say on this forum is Negative and not helpful in any sort of way.

Moving on, I'd like to say nothing would make "IClassic" better then too get new "GFX Admins" that know what they're actually doing. LiA just because they dont GS all day doesn't mean they are dead they just find it useless to spar lower experienced guilds.

I don't think anyone needs to shut their mouth. They're all giving their own input on why they agree/disagree with the idea, which is the point of threads anyways.. If you've read the earlier posts, Comyt actually did give his own opinion on Thallen's idea. Maybe YOU should give your own opinion on why you like the Guild Spar idea. You aren't posting anything "helpful" too.

Lol okay Lia cause it is so Helpful ripping on Eko,Dante and Fulgore about agreeing on our friends Idea. The whole idea on forums is to give positive feedback. I'm sure being negative and calling out people in Alumni on agreeing with our friends idea is what you should do on a forum. Forums are for helpful advice. All I did was state that Comyt should shut up and stop making Arguments off of his totally "positive" post and actually post something helpful. If you think what he said was helpful your an Idiot. If Comyts post was actually Positive and Helpful in any sort of way I don't think i'd be talking right now.

He's right though. (At comyt saying your idea-riding). Your post before looked like just ass kissing and was pretty irrelevant lol. You sort of just bashed comyt for posting negative comments ignoring some of the things Alumni members have said. For example: Eko brought up Nadine calling comyt ugly irl. This doesn't seem to be positive to me or relevant to anything.  

lol, if you haven't noticed all of this has been said because of one of comyts negative post. If he hadn't have said that none of these things would have been said. This all started because he was being negative like he always is. And no i'm not idea riding. If stating that one persons posts are negative is riding someones idea I don't really understand lol. All i'm saying is just be quiet if your not going to say anything positive or else all these arguments are going to happen.

I really wouldn't even want it to piggyback the towering system - I only introduced the idea like that so people can get a general understanding of what it'd be like, since I think the majority of the community understands how towering works

the towering format also rewards guilds, and I'm pretty sure an idea like this would basically never work out if people weren't rewarded with their precious hats and stuff, so that's another reason I drew a comparison

a "king of the hill" design where there is a list of the most wins (rather than most hours) would be a lot better, it's just that suggesting it this way makes it sound like a much larger and more independent project (and I know developer's don't like that)

you really shouldn't be rewarded for just sitting around and waiting for someone to come spar you, and that's the #1 drawback of it building off of the same system that towers use

@ Blaze: I don't know who's right or wrong, but I know that it takes two people to start an argument. I knew Comyt was being rude by stating names from Alumni, but those people who replied to Comyt had the option to ignore it like how Thallen was ignoring it. If you've seen other past threads, then you know that Thallen & Comyt have been writing posts about each other for awhile now. None of us have a right to add ourselves into this because it's not our problem lol. If Comyt or Thallen wants to argue, then oh wells. I'm not here to defend anyone x_X. I don't even talk to Comyt or Thallen. You don't need to call me an idiot just because I'm not agreeing with you. I have common knowledge so I've been ignoring the argument posts until now. You should do the same too. I've already stated my own opinion to Thallen's Guild Spar idea. Write about yours too
