To be fair, at least "that is retarted" actually kind of makes sense as retarted means slow or of disability or handicap and it is usually used to describe "stupid, slow, and illogical" things. EXA: "My teacher in math class have us three packets to finish by tommorow. She is so retarted" In this sense the kid is just replacing the word "stupid" with "retarted". Pretty much just giving a stronger version of the word that can be offensive and people are more sensitive about.

While I am not condoning it, I can understand why we as people use that word rather than the gay slurs.

Gay slurs are often used on nearly everything that has not to do with the homosexual world and are usually just used to degrade a regular person or as a typical immature insult.  

******ed was originally a medical term for the mentally disabled. Now, people use it differently. You cannot argue that using gay to mean stupid is wrong and then turn around and ignore the word ******ed.

Pretty much the same can be said of a lot of words. I could be wrong on this but, ****** was meant as a bundle of sticks for burning. Gay was happy. ***** was strange and now they're all derogatory!

The people i least expect are gay(i don't suspect anyone to be gay that i know of,especially on these forums)

OT: well...I hate when people do use gay slurs in general, whether it's used against someone joking or not. But people will be people, and we can't force them to stop.

I also think the act of two males engaging in sexual intercourse is disgusting

doesn't make me a homophobe and there's absolutely nothing wrong with thinking that
if someone tells you otherwise, it's because they've been pampered and sensitized by media bull**** that has severely blurred the lines of defining what is homophobic, racist, sexist, etc.

the #1 thing that bothers me about homosexuals fighting for gay rights or women practicing feminism is how the majority claim that the underlying goal is equality, yet they go so far out of their way to try and be treated differently (or above) "the norm"
gay pride makes absolutely no sense to me, because I don't care if you're gay and it's senseless to take pride in something you allegedly can't control - I only care when you make some elaborate effort to get everyone in the world to know that you're gay and then get treated specially for it

I don't have any gay friends, but I wouldn't mind having one as long as their entire life did not revolve around the fact that they're gay, because it's not important or even interesting

Pretty much how I feel, but to add on to your thing about feminism and ****...it's like...I dunno. You (plural, not you) claim to be fighting for equality yet you're only catering to one group and focus on the rights for just that one group. It makes no sense. If you actually believe in equality then you'd preach general equality, not focus on just ONE thing that needs to be "pushed up" to equality. It's weird to me, I dunno.

There's some bat**** feminists running for power here in Sweden, they're pretty much your tumblr type of idiots. It's really dumb too, because Sweden is quite equal and has always been progressive when it comes to homosexuality and gender inequality.

If you're a feminist wouldn't you fight for racial/gay/etc equality/rights if you truly do believe in equality for all? Seems more like "lul im a gurl and im guna feminist becuz it promotes meee", least it does in Sweden.
