Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy was the best movie I've seen in a while. My favorite part was the whole movie. I'd totally recommend watching it.

Was it really THAT good though? I mean I liked it, but I think at best I'd rate it a 3.5/5 stars. I have no idea how it got 5 stars on Fandango. Actually I do kind of do. People rate it before they even see the movie. The main villain's character design was pretty mediocre and at times the guardians were way too overpowered fighting soldiers. That was one of my big problems with The Amazing Spiderman 2. If the hero is too powerful and faces little struggle it's not that interesting to watch. Then there's the green girl who was called a ***** even though her love life wasn't even mentioned and Quil was the one sleeping with all the women. Sorry, I'm just ranting a bit. I haven't been too thrilled with Marvel lately.

I don't think the movie is as good as everyone makes it out to be. It was a fine movie, but not the best by Marvel imo. Winter Soldier was far better, again imo. GoG had a lot of campyness

It wasn't as complicated plot-wise as some other great Marvel movies, like Winter Soldier as Jester mentioned-- but it was seriously an awesome, fun, fresh summer movie that 2014 needed. The 80s music combined with the sci-fi plot made it enjoyable, and the suspense non-stressful. Loved it so much that I'm definitely going to see it again.

The movie was great. I just hope they continue to follow the Infinity gems storyline into future movies, I'd love to see an Avengers/Spider-Man/GoG crossover (they're gonna have to if they're gonna update the team to its current status). |
