Making a 2D Game, Help Wanted

So Unity Engine now has 2d support, AND now allows iPhone/Android development for free. These changes/additions inspired me to begin developing a game.

However, I need help. I'm looking for pixel artists willing to contribute to the project. I also would like sound effect artists, someone who can make a soundtrack, etc. Programmers are also welcome.

I plan to begin designing tomorrow. I've worked with Unity before, and have made a few simple yet ugly games-3d was a lot harder due to the advanced math and 3d modeling involved, but I still managed to pull something off. It's based on javascript(highly similar to gscript2), so its really easy.

As for the design, I feel like everyone helping should have a say in it-what kind of game would you like to work on? An rpg? a 2d shooter? Some form of original idea? An arcade style game? I want to make this a community effort.

I'm personally using Construct 2 for all my games, it's a bit easier, got alot of features, i'm really good with it since i used it 450hours, so if you want to use it, i would be happy to help you

Unity had 2d support before, with 2d toolkit. One bit of advise, don't over scope your project. If this is your first release go small. You're better to have a small project release than a project that ends up dropped.

Does Unity2D support magnometer, accelerometer and gyroscope? If so, I'm so buying it ASAP.

Yes. The non-pro iOS version is free as long as your annual revenue is below $100,000 USD(and tbh you won't exceed that unless your game goes viral, and if it does just buy the $1,500 pro version)

Yeah, I plan on starting with simple experimental projects, then moving onto simple games like rpgs/platformers. I don't plan on doing anything crazy difficult like an MMO or anything like that.
