This GST was...not great for me, you can say. And it was pretty obvious that most if the hosts weren't that great either. I'll start from the beginning to the end.

So, it was about an hour before GST, and I began to realize that nobody on my team was going to be online, so I realized that I needed to find a new team quickly. I found one guild (I won't say the name) who graciously took me in as a mixed core. I was pretty excited since I had found a team and thought everything would go smoothly.

Well, I was wrong. When the round one brackets were revealed to everyone, we found out that our iDev team didn't qualify, but mainly because the leader was too slow to submit teams. I just thought that the leader would PM an admin or something, but he decided to take a different approach. He had this crazy idea that if he kicked people from the guild who were in the mixed team, the admins would let him sub in their iDevice cores. I told him that in no way would this work, but his headstrong personality resulted in me being kicked ten minutes before the GST started.

I was pretty mad and a little disappointed, since at that point that meant I would be watching the GST. So I just dealt with it and waited for the GST to begin. But mostly I was still amazed at the incompetence of the leader. I just went with it.

So the GST began with Alumni beating Surf round 1. (I believe it was iDev?) I wasn't surprised since I was pretty convinced that Alumni would win. But then when I went to ask Surf what the odds were, some members (and that includes Squiggles) stated that they hadn't even sparred Alumni. Squiggles was pretty mad since she wanted to win so badly, and I told her that maybe things would have been different if she hadn't changed guilds so much. Like, seriously. She still had the name of her old GST team in her status. I'm pretty sure she was in five different guilds or something. She got pretty mad at this and she told me that they lost because Alumni was full of laggers (even after she told me that they never sparred Alumni.) I told her that a minute ago she had told me they had never sparred Alumni, and she replied with "Hi blocked." Okay, whatever. She knows she was caught red-handed.

More rounds began, and most of my predictions were correct. After a while, round 2 for the iDevice teams began, but not for mixed. There was only one round left for mixed, when I realized that it was the guild that had kicked me against some other guild. I assumed that some sort of dispute was going on with my old guild, and after a while they were disqualified. Why? Because the admin didn't let them sub in un-registered members, which makes sense. So after kicking two core members from mixed (including me) they only had three left (no subs) and could not spar with three members. Therefore, they were disqualified.

I asked a couple of members if this is what happened, and they confirmed it. Now, you probably would've done the same, so I'm going to be honest here. I PMed the leader of my old guild telling him that I had been right and he should've listened to me. He, of course, ignored me, but I already knew that he was feeling bad and felt embarrassed that he caused that. Hope he learned a lesson about listening to others, sometimes, and not just his own opinion.

So that's pretty much how my GST went. The rest of the day presumed of me watching matches, following the GST recorder around, listening to rants, and then leaving before the semi-finals of the idev tournament began.

Speaking of rants, later that day I PMed the leader of Espiritu who had posted something about "his guild should have had better." I asked him what happened, and he told me about the Unknown and Espiritu match. They told Yurieru had messed up and that "admins should learn to count to one before applying" or something like that. I PMed Yurieru, who was on his player account, telling him that he had messed up in the GST. He asked me when, and I'm told him during the Unknown and Espiritu match. Here's what I got back: "The person who hosted that was Leah, but they don't listen."

So either Espiritu can't tell the difference between two admins, or Yurieru is trying to frame his fellow admin friend. If that's the guess, then shame on him. I'm going to investigate more into this a little later today and find out what really happened.  

I still don't understand how they delay, I live in Europe and I don't delay...

I understand, but what I'm saying is the admin should have done this (because this should be the rules): when he sees Cally lagging, he should wait for the match to end. If Unknown wins, you guys get the win and Cally is removed and then they must use a sub. If Espiritu wins, that win gets taken away from them and Cally is removed and they must use a sub.

Either way, Cally is forced out of the tournament and your team is guaranteed to not suffer a loss. Don't you agree that it's fair that way? If not, why don't you think so?
I don't understand how "IF ONE OF YOUR PLAYERS IS LAGGING YOUR WHOLE TEAM GETS DQ'd" is more fair, because it's tough to control, especially for someone on an iDevice (no wired connection) in Australia (literally over 9000 miles away from the server).

we beat them very easily, the admin didn't watch the match, and then she tried to tell the admin that they won

she switched teams at the last minute and screwed another team so she 100% deserved to lose in the 1st round

okay, it's 100% the admin's fault then, because they should have removed her and summoned 1 of their subs at random  

Tbh the admin didn't know what he was doing , he also hosted the next match and he started random matches and would not let anyone do sub , but even if espiritou got a sub in they probably would have still lost as at the end of every Match we still had 3 or more members vs cally and through out all of the match cally was probably the only person who got the majority of the hits... I feel sorry that teams like vdrags had to lose to them for the same exact reason as no one could really hit or beat cally.
But anyway the team didn't want to sub cally and wanted to use cally for tier advantage so in my oppinion they diserved to lose anyways and should have not got as high as they did

Also I didn't appreciate that their members started saying our team was "gay " jut becouse we got them dq , if I was their leader I would have seen tht my member was delaying so personally I would sub him for the teams own good and not try and use him as an advantage over other teams. Gst is supposed to be where everyone has a chance of winning and brining people like cally in really naked it unfair on other teams , also can we pls have admins host tht actually know what they are doing ? When we asked the admin for subs he straigh away said no and started the match when we told him to wait ... So I blame this on admin/s and players using delay to their advantage  

Lol admins are really terrible at this game, they should just be called ET (they even suck at that) I don't know what the application for this game to be admin is but it should be redone. I remember hosting the monthly tournaments for Zodiac, and yeah their will always be people that qq just out of rage. But in all honesty in my opinion the admins were just a disaster. I think whoever hires the admins should be stricter.
Firstly Admins are supposed to assist players I assume, otherwise they would be called Events Team. Anyway whenever I see an admin they always have the status "PM Me if you have any questions" let me tell you this, I have pmd admins altogether about 50times never once have I got a reply. To those thinking oh too many people PM Them. Well I always see Poppy in the spar arena and when I ask her for help she walks away.
Far as GST Goes it was really unorganized. Warpers were not up on time I was going through the entire battle arena looking for the viewing rooms, and it took me about 5-10minutes to legit find it (By the way thanks for letting us know where it is admins)
Second of all the subs/cores debate. Can we please get some legit written down rules so admins to make up stuff on the spot saying that you can't some etc. It's just really disappointing that a game that has what 3-4k players can't even organize the one big event they have.
In addition to that Lag? Can we just get a lag limit I mean the admins get swayed by the players for their decisions. It's just not cool because they can't handle a little heat from 1-2 players they let it overfuel their decisions.
Furthermore my god I don't even know Quiondre that well but his ban was amazingly stupid. He got banned for lagging. ON GST DAY HE LAGS AND GETS BANNED? I seriously am losing hope for admins on here.
I am seriously thinking of missing out a GST just to admin a gst match up because admins are supposed to make the game fun and enjoyable for people instead they are making us more pi**ed off.

Just to let you all know I'm not raging we had Scaal for all our matches he was pretty decent, only one situation where the other team had 4 players because their sub was brb or something so instead of d/qing the opponents he postponed the match (which we were cool with) SO yeah.

P.S. Congratulations to everyone in GST hope you had fun even with the embarrassing performance of the admins.

I am very frustrated that he took that course of action mainly because TYBG offered me a position in their mixed team and they actually did pretty good however I declined because that would have been un-loyal and then he went and did this, I left his guild shortly after the incident occurred and when the next GST comes around I am going to be entering my own team way in advanced and if you and the others who are kicked don't find a team you are guaranteed a spot with mine.

I am sorry you had to miss out on GST due to the arrogance of my friend and although he won't apologize I hope you will accept mine.

I am not going to do that based on the fact some of the people in this thread might harass the leader.  

Also the lag durning gst was quite bad , so to prevent overcrowding in the arena ( most people in there are not even in gst or interested in it , they are just there becouse they have nothing else todo ) why not hVe like 3 admins hosting normal events , I'm pretty sure that would make some of the members leave the arena and go to events

Thanks, I appreciate it . Nice to know that someone in that guild generally feels bad (even if it isn't the leader) but I really appreciate your apology and for caring. Also yeah, we probably shouldn't reveal the guild name because knowing the forums everyone will harass the leader.  

I did not watch GST, but I read the thread. Here are my points:

1. I am appalled by staffs actions in a GST. If they arent paying attenction, then what is the point? They should not be a administrator if they dot care about the community. Asking the teams who one is the most pathetic thing you could do. I hope someone will take action against this.

2. It seemed like a decent GST overall. Lags always going to be bad, especially when 1000+ people are in the same small level.

3. I do not know how it was for the GST, but I spared before it. I believe in good sportsmanship, so i always say good luck and good game. Some people are real assholes and take this game like its real life. I check my wifi before eac match, and its always the highest possible (sit across from a 2013 router.) People say "wow lagger is that KFC wifi." There is also a lot of sexism and racism. I see people make racial slurs after fights, and how players say that girls shouldnt be appowed to spar.

I stand up for them all and try to set it straight. It males me sick to think if it was like this in the gst. There should really be better sportsmanship, or else it is never fun.  

Snow Noob, and Scaal hosted ours, and they literally ignored the team that lagged excessively.  

Every GST I see somebody complain about Scaal, so why is he hosting? Yuri can barely speak English, so why is he hosting? I would think that whoever organizes this would be intelligent enough to see the points I'm making.

Also, Espiritu should've beaten Unknown (easily). Looking at both teams, Espiritu had much better players. I refuse to believe that Unknown legitimately beat them.

so one of the main complaints I have is the sub system and the "replacing".

I was 1ST , YEAH first sub in a team. My team was up, suddenly the second sub gets warped?
Oh...I pm staff and they say this was requested to warp the other sub..I am like wait what?
Why can you change the position of someone when the tournament already started?
You cannot change your squad whilst the World Cup started. This is the same..

It is my fault I joined that team, I know..still why the heck admins allow this?

Don't let 10 years old kids host a big tourney like this and get your things done before people like me complain about this.
I am only 15 and probably people will say you don't know anything, but I think in some points the staff team on this server(iClassic) needs some cleaning.

I don't need to play this game, but I remember the times when normal people got hired and not people who don't reply to my messages (other things) , or AFK for like the whole day.


I don't mind getting this post deleted but first let new Staff go thru some courses so they can learn how to summon some guys. (Read Felix's post)
