You're running Mild over Modest (should actually use Timid) because you have physical attacks (for whatever reason), and that makes you a hell of a lot more frail. There are very, very few cases in which Pokemon actually have to do this to cover its own weaknesses, some instances of worthwhile cases being specialized mixed attackers (Aegislash, Infernape, Thundurus-I, Kyurem-B), Genesect, Hydreigon, and maybe Garchomp and Tyranitar. You have teammates for a reason, use them. Don't try to grind out the most coverage possible on one Pokemon, especially not mixing physical and special on a Pokemon with a MUCH higher special stat and a fairly mediocre attack stat. What does Aqua Tail cover that Surf or Water Spout doesn't? Goodra and Blissey? They're going to wall the hell out of you either way. And using Kyogre without Water Spout and Scarf or Specs is like using Talonflame without Gale Wings and Brave Bird. |

Sorry, I will never get used to legendaries. Meloetta took out my Porygon2 using this attack that damaged him and put him to sleep. Then he pulled out his Arceus with Fairy Plate and took out all my Pokemon in one hit with Judgement. Why the hell isn't there a non-special battle option for free battles?

Because it's free battle... play in rated battles if you want to actually battle.

The only option I saw is online competition and when I tried it it told me "There is no online competition to participate in" or something like that. Oh wait. Look at that. There is a rating battle option. Heh... Sorry I'm dumb. EDIT: So! I tried a rating battle and lost. Then I tried another one against a guy from Japan and I defeated 2 of his Pokemon with my Porygon2 so and he disconnected on me. I just shrugged it off as I thought it would count towards my wins. It didn't. Back to free battles. |

Just wondering, can protect or king's shield block fake out? Summer is a few days away for me and I have a feeling I'll be battle my friend again sometime during it with his Kangaskhan. I know he uses it at the start of the battle.

They both protect against Fake Out, but here's something interesting: Lead with Sableye. It is the textbook perfect counter to Mega Kangaskhan. Priority Will-O-Wisp renders it useless for the rest of the match, and is unaffected by Return and Power-Up Punch. Even Kang's most reliable Dark attack, Sucker Punch, can't hit Sableye since Sableye does no damaging moves other than the fourth. Even if it hits, it's bad damage due to the burn and neutral non-STAB. And he's not affected by Fake Out either. Sableye @ Leftovers Ability: Prankster EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Def Calm Nature - Will-O-Wisp - Taunt - Recover - Foul Play / Knock Off / Night Shade Foul Play destroys anyone setting up on Sableye, or any powerful physical attackers in general. Knock Off can absolutely cripple some Pokemon who are reliant on their items like Talonflame or Dragonite. Night Shade is reliable, and always hits for 100 damage. I'd suggest the first two, or even Toxic if you want to piss him off. If your priority Will-O-Wisp hits him, this is Kang's only way of hitting Sableye: 252+ Atk Parental Bond burned Mega Kangaskhan Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Sableye: 109-130 (35.8 - 42.7%) -- 94.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery Which you can outstall easily with priority Recover. |
