I just got a Famicom.
It's wondrous, I think you guys should get one too.
If you don't know, the NES is the localized version of this.
Famicom is a shortened version of Family Computer.

First off, I love the NES.
It's design is simple and inviting.
I love classic VHS tape players.

The SNES is disgusting. It's a boxy purple and light gray weird thing, while the SFC and Genesis are much sleeker and nice looking.  

The ugly SNES dominated its generation, good thing most people looked at the games and weren't searching for 'sleek looks'.

Aside from slight differences in shape and colors, there's really not much difference between them. But I know that anything from Japan is clearly superior in your mind, so I'm not even going to bother going on about it. Have fun pretending you know how to read all the dialogue boxes and guessing your way through untranslated games people stopped playing almost two decades ago.

Yes, I understand that.
The SFC had games that never got ported in the SNES regions, so there's a reason.
I understand you can cut the tabs in the Super Nintendo off and plug in SFC games, and they work fine; but for me, I have to have the original hardware, as the author intended it to be played on.
