Era's Reputation

I haven't posted for awhile, but I decided this would be a great discussion to have.

My question is: Why is Era and its reputation so dreadful? I mean, I personally don't play Era, not sure why but I haven't. Yet, the development on there is constant and amazing. The graphics are also fantastic, they by far beat the other iServers in development. I have a general idea to why Era is infamous; Rude Players (Not all but most), Prices, and Corrupt Staff (iffy on this, because i dont play Era). But what's your guy's opinion? For me, Era is pretty good and beats the other servers.

So far from what I've heard/seen: corrupt staff, despicable playerbase, overpriced stuff, overpowered stuff, nerfing of unnecessary things, pay2win, only major updates are holiday melee etc, way too many melees.

How are melees a bad thing? To me, that's good. I love melees. The only high prices I've actually seen lately are on guns. Hats and melees seem to be quite cheap.

Well, a few realistic ones are fine. But the server is about guns, not running around with a crab dagger assassinating people.

Like mentioned, many players are rude and obnoxious. I don't know if they still have that "trading" system where you drop weapons, but people scam each other all the time with it. Most players will fart on you or call you a noob after they kill you with their 200k gun they got from Gralat Packs. I know a few of the staff members and they're nice people, but I don't know how the rest are. In general, I just don't like the gameplay of bullets flying everywhere from hundreds of players. I feel like the game is broken.

The old community who represented most of era are long gone and the new wave of young players who are like between the ages of (10-14) are coming in each and everyday. It's not going to take a day for them to mature, but like most of us a couple years.

Era is my home server and I'll stand with it for the rest of my life.

Thats quite a big devotion to a game who wants to milk you out of every last penny and then screw you over and nerf what you paid so much to get.

Melees are too powerful and common so often get rid of the need for guns. That is why melees are bad.
The game isn't overly bad but parts of the community and certain staff give it a very bad reputation. However from what I have been told and noticed myself, most other servers have the same or similar types of people that make the community bad. Personally I think the reputation is due to people in the past thinking it was bad and telling people that and it just kind of stuck.
