Festivus?
Soooo... if we're not celebrating 'religious' holidays... are we to be understanding that there will be no christmas?

Even though that yeah, technically Christmas is a religious holiday, it is one that has become so widely celebrated that it's an exception.

Halloween was originally All Hallows Eve aka The eve of All Saints Day, which is a Catholic holiday. Most holidays started out being religious in one way or another.

I wouldn't oppose of it! A pole would be substantially easier to make graphics for over a tree! |

It has nothing to do with religion. Graal is a multicultural game, with people playing from all around the world. To cater to one specific culture or country is unfair. People ask all the time to have this and that holiday in the game, but it's not realistically possible to do that. So instead it was decided to just not do anything for any holiday specific to one country. Like it's been said, Christmas, Easter and Halloween are sticking around because despite having religious/cultural backgrounds they are still celebrated around the world in many countries. |

Nowhere did anyone ever say that weren't celebrating religious holidays anymore. And Christmas is so widespread, I wouldn't say only Christians celebrate it, nor are Christians required to celebrate it.

I'm fine with the name change for Christmas as well as there are many different people that have different variations of Christmas (like Hanukkah) and some who get offended by religious or other aspects of the Holiday season. (for example people getting upset over calling it xmas rather than Christmas) |
