Thor The Dark World Ending
I've watched Thor 2 and I'm really confused about the end part. So did Loki died? Was it his father who followed Thor to fight Malekith? They showed Loki as the King in disguise after Thor denied the offer of him being the King.

When the soldier returned to Odin claiming to have found a body on the dark world, it was truly Loki in disguise. Odin recognized it was Loki after the 'soldier' reported to him dead. After that scene, Loki kills or kidnaps Odin and takes the throne pretending to be him while everyone else believes Loki to be dead and a hero. Until they make a third movie, no one can really say the whereabouts of Odin or the fate of Azgard under Loki.
