What's your say on teenage pressures?
Do you think that teenagers are being put under too much pressure?

I think teens are put under pressure that causes them to either hurt themselves or others. I feel that its the parents fault if they put that child under pressure by saying I'll kick you out or more at a young age causing them to feel that if they fail one subject there automatically not family material. In japan, I believe if you ever got a 99 and not a 100 you'd be punished.

It varies upon the circumstance and what kind of pressure you're referring to. I think that the majority of adolescents will face many different kinds of pressure in and out of school, like Blueh stated above. Teenagers in China often struggle with academic and family pressure, and it is never pleasant.

Scene 1: Well it is the way of life for a girl who messed up her life getting pregnant with a baby on her way. The pressure on blowing that sucker out is tremendous and I feel bad for that kind of pressure of pooping a human. #random Scene 2: There is so much pressure when people try to show off for their loved ones by either doing drugs because they think it is cool or just want to look hot/sexy by looking to damn skinny or looking like a douchebag for that male/female friend. #dope Scene 3: I do think it is to much pressure for us graalians to understand what type of pressure you are talking about.

"Pressure" is a very broad generalization. In terms of academic pressure and peer pressure, two of the more prevalent ones in a teenager's life, generally yes to the former and no to the latter. Of course, this all depends on circumstances. Some parents are extremely fervent believer in academic success, while a few aren't. Likewise, I believe peer pressure isn't as widespread as people make it out to be, and as such, can be avoided relatively easily with a little bit of assertiveness, given you have a good choice of friends. But, to answer the question as fairly as possible: no. Teenagers typically don't have a lot on their plate, honestly. Pressure in adolescent years typically pale in comparison to later years.

There's a pressure for teenagers to do well in school, but most of the time (at my school), I'd the kid gets a C, they're celebrated and given an iPhone or something because they usually gets F's. So not really, but most of the pressure is peer pressure. |

I honestly think a teenager could face a number of different forms of pressure, but i think it has a lot of do with their environment at home. I'm not limiting it to this their school life will have a huge effect on this, but honestly these pressures will mold said teenager into what they are supposed to be, Good or bad.

I feel most teens get put under pressure when they graduate school and have to figure out whether to go to college or get a job, but know that its already hard to get a job. They didn't do so well in school so they stress out that they won't do well in college and figure its a waste of time so they do neither.

It depends. I feel bad for teens with parents that expect them to get all A's and get pissed if they get a B or lower on their assignment or report card. That adds some pressure to their life. Friends can also be a bad influence if they try to get you into smoking or drugs. You have a choice though. Learn to say no or you can look forward to a more expensive medical bill. Bullying also has pressure, but if it's to the point where you can't take it anymore, switch to another school, online school, or home-school. I didn't have too much pressure during my teen years.
