recent update review

I just wanted to start a thread on the recent update not just one of the many about the items,or a guide or to thank the admins for their hard work. But to give my thoughts and opinions on it and to get yours.

Overall I really like it,and I think its a big step in the right direction for classic. It adds a big chunk of area to explore several small quests and items to collect and the best thing of all a new "job type" or way to get more gralats that is fun and can keep you entertained for quite awhile. This is great for players who want to do more individual things to do. Not only is it giving a little bit of much needed depth in game play for classic but also at least IMO helps to spread out the population.

I have seen large groups of the people in the water just south of york town and in the rail road caves. I have also seen a dozen or so people zoom by on the tracks idling for hours. Some people seem to be against that as a cheap way to build up hours. I have also seen a hand full of people just riding around advertising their "shops" or "mazes" I don't really mind either just simply for the fact that it means there is at least a few less people idling in large numbers in graal city causing lag.

I don't really have anything to complain about as far as the new stuff goes. I was hope full the tracks would run through Oasis but they don't as of yet anyways,but I guess Belle Island is close enough. I am also wondering why the tracks don't run though and come out at dw anywhere or are really that close to dw. Not that Dw is that far of a walk or swim from Swamp or Yorktown.

So far I think its great. I still need to travel it a bit longer to get my bearings and learn which way goes to where to make travel faster and easier via the rail road. I'm sure there is always room for improvement some where and could lead to more great things to come.

What are your thoughts on the long awaited rail road update?

Well, I managed to waste 3 days of my life trying to get a rare hat that everyone managed to get in a couple tries. Got yelled at for exploring, not helping others ( even though I needed help ), and I was also followed... In short.. this was the best update ever I NEVER HAD THAT MUCH ATTENTION!

the treasure hunting is as entertaining as bug hunting so that's good.

quests and easter eggs are nice

etc etc etc. all in all a nice update

anyone else get the oxygen tank? I did, now I have infinite "underwater" breathing.

Dusty did say the loot is being monitored closely and may be tweaked. I had to stop exploring to help my guild tower (not by choice) and had to finish exploring and getting all the items at a later time. You just have to remember the loot itmes like the blob will be around for a while so there is no rush in getting the rare hat and furniture items.
