I started Black Lagoon yesterday. I'm 11/12 episodes done with the first season. I really am enjoying it so far. I was a little iffy about it being mainly action, but for some reason I find it very amusing.

Kind of difficult to explain, but basically a realistic story(not fantasy) that makes you think as you watch it to understand what's happening, often high emotional or dramatic, and has some very interesting themes about life as a whole. The characters in them are often difficult to understand, part of what makes it so great. As you watch them it leaves you curious to find more about a character, to try and truly understand their personality.

Slice of life basically describes the realism of everyday life in art and animation. Often showing the best and worst point of life, and often being emotionally provoking. It could be just as simple as a club enjoying everyday at school with not much meaning to it, to a big story on a person who has been traumatized and learning to recover in a realistic way. |
