Yay i f****** love sparring  

Now, instead of responding to some old dude who has been playing Graal for all the years of his life that he was supposed to be doing something productive during, I'll be tackling the topic of this thread.

Sparring is dead. I was online from 6AM to 11AM today and observed the activity in the arena. Why was I on? I'm sick today, I don't skip school. I care about my life and I'm not interested in spending it on Graal unlike others.
6AM-8AM
Basically everybody in the Battle Arena had a negative win-loss ratio with the exception of Hikaru. I streaked 20 and there was no end in sight but I stopped because it didn't feel right. If you want to selective spar against negative ratios for rating or to improve your ratio, get online at this time. Most people on the lame rating leaderboard we have set up would love to take advantage of this, as you don't even see people with high leaderboard positions sparring against positive ratios, they have to protect that precious rating. Edin runs away, Sarah goes on an alternative account, Abood runs away, I could go on forever.
8AM-8:30AM
I cleared out the entire arena. There was one AFK person in the mixed streak room and two AFK people in the iDevice streak room. Nobody would join against me because they're scared of losing their rating. There were no signs of life at the time except for DestroyeD (VS) who lost to me only two times and went insane calling me a loser who gets bullied and threatening to send people to "drop me."
8:30AM-10AM
The olddudeswhoshouldbedoingsomethingelsewiththeirlife showed up. Dante began to streak off of a bunch of negative ratio players as Thallen spammed my private messages blowing up at me because I had a high rating from glitching which I immediately reset again as soon as I noticed it. He doesn't care about this game at all though, why else would someone look at a leaderboard that they don't even belong on? So yeah, lame time. 6AM to 10AM is the perfect time to boost your ratio and/or rating against a bunch of players with negative ratios.
10AM-11AM
Tae and Hikaru started sparring. Like finally, people who I could actually view as competition and have fun sparring while going for my 10,000th loss. Only two of them for the whole 5 hours though.

Sparring is dead. There are basically no good players left and all you can do is boost off of noobs. Everyone left, maybe because they got too old for this game, maybe because they didn't want to deal with egotistical old people being way too competitive with them, maybe because all of the "competition" ran away from them to selective spar.
But what I see as the root of all of our problems is the leaderboard. It is the reason why Abood, Sarah, etc. all run away/play on alternative accounts. It is the reason why these old people are getting angry and whining on forums all day long. Nobody wants to spar with the pressure of a leaderboard. If you have a high spot and spar often, against actual good players, you'll lose it. If you don't have a high spot, people will think you suck because the community thinks the leaderboard means something and then you'll start selective sparring to the top.
Going to recommend this for the 100th time: Replace the rating leaderboard with a wins per day/week/all time leaderboard. That will encourage people to spar all the time. To get on top of that, you have to spar quick, not waste 5 minutes running away from me to find a negative ratio to spar against.

once again, if you think anyone needs to be told that sparring is not as active as it has been in the past then your level of awareness and expectations of those around you must not be very high because that's been glaringly obvious for about a year (coincidentally the same length of time that you've been manipulating the leaderboard like a scrub)
anyone with half of a brain can make that observation, which is why I've constantly suggested ways to change the leaderboard and "spar culture" in general
your timeline is a pretty poor argument to support that fact anyway, because it's the morning of a school day on a game consisting primarily of North American players (not everyone can skip school to abuse the leaderboard like you)

the OP here stated that "sparring is dead" due to people who delay that probably constantly beat him, which is a joke

this applies only to the iDevice leaderboard, which is a community of people riddled with awkward personality complexes like you
just being honest

1. you have consistently abused the leaderboard because you seem deeply disturbed by the idea of the community thinking someone else is better than you (which then leads to you feeding other people points, raising the points pool as a whole)
2. you talk about sparring more than you actually do it, as if you can chat your way to proving you're the best or something
3. you're practically irrelevant in the spar community for about the past 6 months

no one else calls you out on this because they're probably intimidated by your demon of darkness/penguin of doom personality, but you're insane to act like you can come to these forums and act like you've done anything progressive for sparring  

i can get any rating i want and havent, i must care too much.
i can get a rating and keep it by hoarding but i reset and sparred more, i clearly want to be distracted by a rating.
ive done more progressive for sparring than you, your progress is backwards. spar used to be fun and people would join in and not worry about how good they are. then you came along. your race. pcs. old people who invaded our lame application and started screaming "you suck at spar im the best" and made it a stupid competition where all of us had to copy your lame attitude and brag constantly. you ruined spar, dont talk about progress.

also forgot to say, for your "you talk about sparring more than you actually do it" part, isnt that what you are doing right now? you have been online for as long as me and have not participated in one spar while i have been in over 100. youve been whining, i mean talking about spar on these forums and actually sparring less than me. biggest hypocrite on the game award? anyone? seriously.

I like this a lot. It would definitely encourage people to spar more.  

Comyt your test was at the worst times possible seriously you did it when most europe are asleep and when kids are in school in america. Plus did you really have to stay on for 5 hours and count people

Another thing calling someone sad when you did a test for 5 HOURS on how many people entered a room is a wee bit hypocritcal

Comyt has like 60,000 total spars how can you say he talks about it more than he does it when he has nearly 3 times your total spars lol. And I don't know why you singled out Yui earlier too about using noob accounts when Sarah and Abood use them MORE. I think I've been blocked by like 5 of Sarah's noob accounts because after I beat her I get the usual "lmao" from her then I say something witty and she just says "blocked". I don't know how one can preach so much how great sparrers never talk and complain and what not when people like Sarah and Abood rage all the time lol. And let's not forget Abood used to dress up as a girl named Lina and date boys! And the last Gst wouldn't be the first ones where Abood's ridiculous lag/delay was causing problems. When my team faced Earth the weirdo Lina was on that team and she was lagging up a storm but we didn't even have to say anything the admin was about to DQ her anyway. But we won anyway so there was nothing to complain about. But seriously, that lag/delay is ridiculous and is what makes them "good" sparrers, not any skill you think they have lol.

Sarah is probably one of the top 5 most active sparrers for months on her main account and has proven so many times that she really doesn't care for any leaderboard spot

Sarah and ABOOD aren't "great sparrers"
They both realize that delay works as both a handicap and an advantage to them and it makes sparring difficult for both sides in many ways

you (or maybe it was Lia, I forget) tried saying in a sparring thread before that laggers don't experience the same mutual lag/delay when they themselves are lagging
I just don't think you have a clue about lag or networking overall

all I did was attempt to point out why Comyt hasn't done **** for sparring except help ruin the community and leaderboards even more
