The days of our guild-a graalian soap opera
I thought I might throw together a collection of short stories from my journeys through the Graal Classic guild system. Starting from my begging as a noobling recruited by the evil empire or as they are now known SON to short term runs as a member of various guilds and a couple long engagements to lesser power guilds. Chapter 1 Classic beginnings November 2012, I was sitting there bored at work during some down time. I had just gotten an Iphone 5 a month or so earlier, and I had gone through many apps looking for a good mmo rpg to play in my spare time. Then after downloading, and deleting many a game. I decided to give Google a shot at finding me a good mmorpg to play. In one of the results was a page with a list of the top mmo's for Idevices, after scrolling down and looking at a list of games I had all ready tried and been dissatisfied with. I glanced at the other recommendations by players section, and some guy was talking about this Legend of Zelda style mmorpg Called Graal Classic one download later I was hooked on this new game I had found. One of the first things that caught my attention was this big castle in the middle of the map that read Soul Of Ninjas on the front. After attempting to enter and getting a message prompt stating I need 50 baddie kills to enter I ran around east of Graal city killing all the baddies I could find. When I finally had enough I ran back to the castle to see what was in side. What I found was a room with a flag in it with like 20 people huddled around it asking me to join. So I did not knowing what i was getting into, after spending the rest of my playing time happily helping this group of people I had found I logged off. The next day started like any other after breakfast it was straight to my phone and opening the app of this great new game I had found. When I logged In to my surprise I had found that I was no longer apart of the guild I had joined that seemingly owned the big castle. Not knowing what was going on,and having no experience I raged into Graal city. After wondering around for a bit not sure what to do I received a new message asking me to join this other group called Black Anbu. I had made it my mission after getting a new guild tag to charge the castle and attack this group that had kicked me for no apparent reason. 30 minutes of pointless attacks later realizing it was doing no good I joined my newly found guild and we took over swamp tower. Once again the next day when I started playing I found myself guildless, and unsure what do. Unable to figure out why I was getting kicked from those guilds when I had done nothing wrong. I was angry, and wanted to let everyone know it. So for the next 3 days I followed Black anbu around joining any guild that would take me, just to complain, attack, and take what ever kind of revenge I could on this 2nd guild that had spurned me. Which is how I finished out my first week in classic learning the cruel ways of Tower taking guilds. next week: part 2 Loyalty |

Chapter 2-Loyalty By the end of November the world map had become white and there where hordes of people where starting to scam for presents in the Mod/Onnet area. I found my self chopping grass trying to find good places to "farm" to earn enough gralats to buy a mount, because I came to realize it just takes to long to walk anywhere in graal. Still only having less than 100 hours under my belt I had found pyrate bay,but didn't figure out till later that you could do the pyrate bay quest daily. After doing some research, ok Googling I had found all the hidden treasure chests and had enough for a basic mount. Unfortunately when making my way through the crowded onnet area after an event had taken place I had mistakenly bought a present, but as luck would have it there was a nice player there to scam me out of it. Once i recollected enough gralats, I went and bought a basic mount so I could get a round much faster. With my mount I set out to explore more of the map, and for some reason or another ended up at Yorktown fort. There was a guild getting ready to attack and I had received an invite. Not sure I should accept after getting kicked from all my previous guilds I decided what the hell I got nuttin better to do. We managed to take over and hold York tower for awhile. When I logged on the next day I fully expected to be kicked as per my previous experience with guilds, but to my suprise I still had the Tag for that guild. What was that guilds name you might ask? Rice Kings. They had become my first decent guild, but my happiness was short lived. It had only been a couple short weeks, but when I logged on I found myself kicked and the guild was no where to be found. I think the leader had quit or something either way I was guild-less yet again. I decided that I wouldn't let this bother me, and set out to pk at any tower I could get into for I knew if I was at a tower it would just be a matter of time before somebody recruited me. In a matter of hours my plan had worked, and I was recruited into a new guild. Little did I know it would become my home for the next couple months. My new guild didn't have much in the way of tower time, but they treated me well and kept me on. They showed me loyalty and I wanted to return the favor by doing my best to help with towers and always been on tag. Several weeks went by, and my new guild had learned me about how guilds work, why they use sub tags and kick people for space, towering and the rewards. As the next month passed I worked my way up the ranks in Outrage. In my spare time I had found all the items classic has to offer, and had learned the whole map in the process. Things where going great,My guild was active and doing well,I had made new friends, and had become a leader In the guild. This would be short lived as things would start to come unraveled. The first snag in the road came when one of our strongest members got him self banned for scamming. This wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be however, as we managed to pick up some decent players for awhile when guilds would hit 1k,and stop. It was during this time I started noticing the guild leader would disappear and I would see him in other guilds. Come to find out he was helping them get to 1k in exchange for some of their members to join out guild after words. (In reality he was probably just hat chasing) Our guild leader went on Vacation and our guild had started to slump, Finally after two weeks he had come back with a few new members and a new co-leader Things where starting to look up again. For about 3 weeks everything was good the winter GST was come up, and I was selected to be a member of my guilds team. Sadly when tournament day had arrived somebody got stupid, and kicked over half the guild members including all but a few from the spar team causing the leader to with draw us from the gst. Two or so weeks later I got a PM from the leader with some bad news. To be continued...... coming soon chapter 3-Decisions |

Chapter 3-Decisions Winter was ending, and Spring was on its way as with any season it makes things change. The Winter GST had ended and my guild was in some what of a Chaotic state. With members getting kicked and losing another pro member do to banning we where hurting. After a week or so new ppl came in and things where starting to even out again. By this time I had become a high ranking member of the Guild and was starting to learn how to lead. Then the unexpected happened I got that PM..... The leader Had been handed down a half years worth of time Ban. So it was up to me and The Guilds Co-lead to run the guild until the Leader got un-banned and could come back. At first things went well still got decent tower time here and there, but that was very short lived. I started struggling in my new roll as Co-co lead and other leads just where not around much to help. Then the Co-lead seemed to get frustriated and joined another guild. I felt abandoned, confused and under qualified to be running a guild alone. But I was determined to keep the guild going as best I could till the leader got back. Try as I might with a lack of help I started getting impatient and frustraited myself. Seeing how the Co-lead had stepped away and had been helping Falcons High. I figure why not take a break from trying to lead what had become a dead guild. So one day while making a last ditch effort with My guild I decided like a dummy to attack Sardz. Which at the time happend to be controlled by a little guild you may have heard of called Vintage. I was sent an invite so I thought to my self to heck with it I need to do something different so I excepted. This was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting Liz Cruel and Aimee. They where and still have been some of the nicest players I have met on classic. They probably don't remember recruiting me,but I enjoyed my 1 day in Vintage. Of course the next day the tag was gone, but It didn't bother me because now I had been around long enough to know how towering guilds worked and besides I still had my original guilds tag to fall back on. So after I couple days of more failed recruiting and attacks I had learned 2 valuable things. Firstly about using second accounts. Specifically earning gralats at pyrate bay to buy things I could use for my main account like vending machines I could buy and place in my noob account house but access at will from my main. Most importantly I realized you could buy a guild with your noob account, and simply transfer ownership to your main account all without having to spend a gralat from your main account. The second thing being how easy it was to take York fort with little to no help of course taking the fort and holding it are to entirely different things. So York had quickly become my favorite fort to attack just because I could take it solo most of the time. After just a couple days I had earned enough on my noob account to buy my own guild So I did. At first I just wanted a guild so I could use the GP in my status, but then with the current state of the guild I was in I thought why not try running my own guild. It didnt take long for me to nab some noob recruits, and everything had started out ok. I quickly decided after my experiences in Outrage that I wasn't going to be able to run this guild on my own. So i headed to Graal City to seek out a Co-lead that I had found some random person and gave him a shot. I still don't remember his nick lol what I do remember is coming on the next day and finding everybody but myself had been kicked and the Co-leader was gone. So i wanted to vent some steam. I decided to go to my new favorite fort York. I was welcomed by this guild full of hooligans known as Half blood wolves who was nice enough to extend me an invite. After A day of shinanagins I knew I wouldn't have the tag when I came on the next day so I went to bed trying make the Decision of what to do next. next week chapter 4-Family |

Chapter 4-Family After a night of mulling it over. I had decided as much as I wanted to stay loyal to Outrage, but with limited experience and no support I could not bare the burden of running The guild on my own. I did however have one last go at it, so I recruited a few noobs and headed to York. After several failed attacks against the defending guild UFO whom I had seen a lot of lately at york I got a invite to join their guild. My response was this: Is your guild active? I received a simple 1 word pm back from their co leader Joey Akechi "yes." So I looked at the guilds tower time which was slightly more than we had in Outrage. Then thought about it for a minute and said to my self you know what I'm tired of trying to carry a dead guild with completely inactive members. I excepted the invite leaving behind my first real guild not sure what the future would hold or if this new guild would even last. The next morning I was pleasantly surprised to find I still had my tag and even more so that UFO had once again taken York. Which we would do a lot in the next couple weeks when we weren't getting are buts kicked by the HBW,and NAL. By then Easter had rolled around and the Egg hunt was in full swing. Through the process of trading and towering I had come to know my guild mates, and was a happier graalian then I had ever been. A week of trading and stealing eggs from noobs later the excitement of the Easter quest had ended, and it was time to get back to towering. Sadly a few short days later We had come to realize a few of our best members had left. We had moved on things where going smoothly, and a new super hero had burst on to the scene to save us from the boredom of camping at a flag hours at a time. That hero was Bushman who looked like a creepy ******** and was naked except for the leaf covering his junk. Unfortunately by the end of the week Bushman had succumbed to he evil Doctor Lag who goes around making the game run slow and mess up for everybody. He hasn't been seen or heard from since... After another banning and a busy real life we would lose two of our best tower takers, and a good lead. We would quickly find new leads in Liz and Oreo two of the nicest ladies you could hope to meet in classic. Liz organized guild events and actives to help boost moral. My favorite was a week of different themes everyday to dress as. As the weeks passed we would lose more regular members and have problems with others and I had moved up in the ranks once again. Over all we still had a good core of players who had become kind of like a family. As you all probably know family doesn't always get along....... coming soon- the final chapter |
