Classic PC has warp ring. You do realize that it's not a crazy idea. In fact it's probably easier to just give everyone a free warp ring than to waste valuable time on making railroads.

PC Classic never really had any reliable forms of transportation. I mean there were horses, but they weren't like horses are now. In order to get a horse you had to find a horse in a level and if you got off you lost it. There was no form of "pocket transportation" like horses on iClassic and the soonish-to-be Railroad system. iClassic is also a pretty condensed overworld.  

I hope this is worth the wait...

when i first played i thought i had to pay 2500 every time i died. i didn't know that i could just tap on the icon in my inventory

edit:

it wasn't until i got my 40k horse that i was able to access all the morphs, bombs and other stuff i previously bought.
