Which is better, Oblivion or Skyrim?
I was considering buying Oblivion GoTY edition on Steam when I get the money, but I've also had my eye on Skyrim for a while. Which one's better? A big factor for me would be which one has better mods.

Skyrim FTW. But it's short in the MAIN STORY (All Bethesda games are). However, there's plenty of side quests. |

Well, every time I think Skyrim would be better, my gut be like "It's not as good as you think but idk lol" You're gonna have to give some specific good points if you want to sway me.... |

Skyrim is baeutiful to look at. You can legitimately have FUN looking at a bush. However, in my HONEST OPINION, I wouldn't get either. There's better games imo. wow I say 'However,' a lot. |

Both games have their advantages/disadvantages. I personally prefer Skyrim. Your weapons don't break and have really bad ass enemies like dragons, trolls, and mammoths.

In terms of sheer amount of content, and wow factor, Skyrim. Gameplay and transition between menus is almost seamless, and the graphics are top notch. Also has a very active modding community. Have you looked at the Fallout series at all? IMO it's a more creative series than TES. Both are Bethesda made, and like I said before, have an active modding community. But no matter which way you go (Oblvion/Skyrim/Fallout), you will not be disappointed.

Skyrim didn't cut it for me. I actually far preferred oblivion. If you want mods though, you should go for Skyrim. I agree with DRAN though, Fallout is underrated and is better than Skyrim by a longshot. |

Well doesn't Oblivion Game of the Year Edition come with Shivering Isles? Does that give it that any of an advantage over Skyrim? Cuz IMO Content in Oblivion's single expansion>Content in Skyrim's 2 Expansions combined (Hearthfire isn't much of an expansion, more of a paid official addon.) The more I look at Oblivion Nexus and compare it to Skyrim Nexus, the more I disagree with you. So far, I'm liking Oblivion's mods a step above Skyrim's. And overall, I'm thinking Oblivion is better for me. |
