Some players are complaining about speed boosters. Calling them nooby is almost comparable to someone complaining about BAR users.

Snk let us use the gym to gain more speed. It's definitely time consuming but the extra speed can help give you the extra edge of winning in spar. It's kinda fun to feel fast.

Problem is that some people don't see it as an improvement to the combat system but rather a destruction to the combat system. There are possible reasons why this may be the case. Let's see the controversy of speed boosting.

Why people hate it
-They can't afford to spend 15 mins for a 7 day speed boost (used to be 4). Maybe they don't have the time to do it or prefer to do other activities
-Players without speed boost are at a disadvantage. Without spending 15 mins in a virtual gym, it will be hard to face speed boosters. Instead of logging into era and go straight to spar, you need to use the gym first.
-People don't like dramatic changes and it's by nature by some people as they prefer traditional style of gameplay. People may like slow movement or equal movement speed
-Outside of combat, racing has lost it's balance with speed as players need speed boost to win. Despite this though, racing was never balanced as old generation device users found themselves nowhere close to winning.

Why people like speed boost
-Is seen as an improvement to the combat system and a solution to counter bottom hugger spammers. The extra speed gives a slightly more balanced gun tier list.
-Possible Era PC feeling when using speed boost. Before speed boost came into era, sparrers moved from iEra to Era PC. Complimenting a more complex spar where dealing with bottom hugging spammers wasn't near impossible to defeat. Dodging bullets was easier.
-Era is given a more fast paced gameplay. Making combat intense and heart pumping.
-A free legal way to gain extra advantage over non speed boosters. Streaking made easier. To give older generation device users a chance to compete with newer device users (who have no speed boost).
-Speed boost; no doubt will make you go from Point A to point B faster. Traveling across the era streets won't take too long to get to your destination on foot.

Despite the gym is free to use, people still don't use it. Perhaps the system was not polished enough? Look at the era gym, it's nearly empty. Suggestions have been made by several people concerning speed boosting.
To list a few, here were some suggestions made by other players:

-A speed potion should be added. Similar with the revive potion, you have the potion effect for X amount of days. Players want instant access to speed boost. They rather use their money instead of wasting time staring at a treadmill.
-Shorten the treadmill time for speed boost. (This wasn't detailed)
-VIP should provide the player a speed level +1 as long as they have VIP subscription.

So is speed boost-at the current state-fine as it is, or does it need improvement?

There are players out there who are not happy with the speed boost. Speed boosters are called "cheaters" just because of the advantage. What if the speed booster chose not to speed boost because people won't stop whining to them? Then by random encounter they face someone who happens to have speed boost. What happens now? The players feel they need the speed boost to beat the speed boosters. Despite criticisms of speed boosting, the speed boost system has potential for better gameplay if it was set up properly. If players complained about bottom hugging spammers, a speed boost system was implemented to give the players a chance to deal with spammers. Also leading to the creation of new sparring tactics. Giving slightly more diverse gameplay. Meph uses speed boost and speed boost feels like it's part of era as anyone can access it. After all, it isn't like purchasing a BAR. Right? Well, this isn't how everyone sees speed boosting in era.

Discuss and make suggestions concerning speed boosting.  

i dont care about player's speed boosts, i hate when staff use their staff boots while streaking  

If others whine about not having one, there's nothing stopping them going to the gym. The time could be reduced, though. Maybe a little piece of text telling you you're half way there and such.  

I think they should just increase the speed for everyone. Also VIP gets enough already without needing another thing.  

Only reason why i hate speed boost is it makes me lag like hell.

Really? I notice that people tend to jump around a lot when they have speed boost on my ipad.
