This is a work in progress as we have never done a play on a server before. There's a difference between going to a live play and watching a movie. Hopefully later on I can put together an actual Graal Movie, but that will be more complicated for what I have in mind. Stefan did make some last minute changes right before we were ready to go. They were changes we were not ready for so we did our best to adjust to the situation. The lag of players did not help the situation either. Second showing was the best, there were hardly any mistakes. I believe coco recorded the first two plays so I shall see if she can post it for comparison. The whole reason I started putting these projects into play is to get more graal players involved in events and not just have them be with staff. And yes Higsbey they were mostly people that staff members knew. Seeing the issues we had already it would have been much harder to use random people the first time around. This will be the first of many plays and projects and more people will be given the chance to audition for spots. The main problem we had was dedication. People would agree to be a part of this and then drop out, which made practicing in sync much harder. Once we get past the hiccups things should be fine. |

I mean most of the events we've done only involve stuff run by Admins, with little involvement from players. Stuff like hide n seek, trivia, halloween, there hasn't been much area for players to be a part of something bigger. I've started some stuff that will hopefully integrate players more.

All these just shows the stupidity of you all. If you knew the facts about what actually happened, then you should be able to rant; but like always all you players go by poor assumptions and stupid remarks. Lets put it this way, 1. The audience was extremely rude in the play, crowding around the front end and spamming emotes, spamming bombs, and shooting arrows to purposely lag them out, 2. The short period of time that we were given to make this happen, 3. There were MANY part switches, you all just cant blame it on Tucker; think about it, why would I switch someone out when we had only a couple days left to practice and bring someone else in that doesn't know the line, know where to go, and just bail out last minute just like 90% of the people did. I don't see any logic and sense in any of your rants or arguments. Short amount of time, extremely rude audience, materials were given to us late which went into short time to practice, and some un-reliable cast members (note that I used SOME). This was the first play, the first try at this; you peoples expectations are too high for what it should have been. It's an iPhone game, not an Xbox or Ps3, take it down a notch and give credit to those who actually tried and put effort into it instead of showing your age... In this case very young.

You know how this all could have been excuted perfectly and been done over and over and over again and still have as much fun? Npcs. I'm telling you guys, it'll be well worth it and have a much better outcome, and still be fun, probably more fun since there will be no mess ups or awkward pauses while typing lines and such.

Using npcs the play could be scripted to just be back to back, always showing. So new players could see it and it wouldn't be so laggy and crowded as time went on, it would be permanent, almost like a little built in cutscene.

i agree, id find it with npcs more fun and efficent. you could change it in a shorter period of time, have to constantly going to its not so crowded and laggy, and maybe inspire players to make plays up that can be turned into movies if staff likes said play alot. plus if you want a more player involved thing id sugest a war thing, without guilds, made so if more than 15 players join then the group is split into 3 teams, and a big multiroomed arena where the group fights and the group with the most enemy pks by the end of the time limit win. kinda like a war version of ctf, with 3 teams, and no guilds, it would be fun, especially if there was a actual profitable reward for winning. or you could make it so the rewards for ctf was raised so it would be actually efficent and fun to make money via ctf. making these iniatives and rewards would mean more players would participate in war zone and ctf, and would make it actually fun to battle and ctf, without any guild stuff being attached to it so no guild could monopolize the war arena. id suggest something like boat racing or horse racing, but i cant see how to get it to work seeing as someone could memorize any obstacle course sort of track, and if it was one of those tap button to go faster systems someone could just mod their ipod or pc to do it superhumanly fast. |
