I've thought a lot about this subject in the past, and what I came up with would help solve a lot of the general problems that everyone referred to, but I do like the idea of having a guild history list with joined/kicked players and who initiated each action. This is what I proposed once to Xor or Rufus. A Guild System with actual working defined ranks. Example: - Editable Ranks that allow customization for: -- Rank Name -- Adjustable abilities ---- Kicking only lower ranked members ---- Promote/Demote Members of Lower Rank via button ---- Editing News ---- Inviting New Members - New members automatically start at the default starting rank defined Even if the ranks were predefined sets and all you could edit was rank names that would be a huge improvement, and save a ton of headaches. |

Yeah, it's not like my idea of a guild system with actual defined ranks with customizable options is anything super revolutionary, because it's almost a standard feature set in just about every other game that uses a guild system. I would just like to see something like that in Graal. Make life easier, and cause a lot less headaches. Probably more so for Tower guilds, but overall it would be nice to have especially the history of actions of guild changes. |

It's not about abusing the guild system. It's way to easy to be in the roster, click a member and instead of clicking view profile as intended select kick. Though I try to encourage my guild to not view profile in this fashion it's something leaders can't prevent. A solution to this would be to move where the kick button is located. Aside from that don't power people you don't know you can trust, if you do, and people get kicked, that's your own fault.

In all honesty it's not about making it easier to abuse the guild system for Tower Guilds. I had thought about these things when the guild system first came out in the game, back when people were forming clans by manually adding Tags to their character names. It's just plain annoying to have to add each players rank manually, and then add their powers, even for a simple promotion/demotion. And accidentally kicking a member from guild happens a lot just because the way the guild system management is designed. It's not a far stretch for people to want an improvement to it in general after having it for so long. |
