So it goes up by increments of ten right? Heres a hypothetical situation: Say it's at 23730 when you hit the button. Then you type in 2374089 (23740 is the number it gave you when you hit the button) even though you only have 35000 and hit enter. By then, multiple people have already bid and it's at 25830, and your bid goes to 25840, because it is the next number in the increment cycle of 10. They do this by time instead of letting us choose the amount because things would be much more expensive and people would complain.

I add like 8 zeros and wait until my timer hits 15 seconds remaining. Then I hit bid, then add 3 zeros then bid, and repeat. That's how I won a souizen. Or you can just add like 20 zeros and wait until like 1 second left and bid. But that's risky, as your timer may be off. |

You get another device, say a stop watch or a phone, and hit a stop watch when you see the auctioneer say ":host_item-item_4-2" and wait until it says the amount of time in minutes that corresponds to a number in the sentence stated earlier. One of the numbers is the number of items hosted (like 2 gold Uzis for example) and the other is the time. I'm not very sure which is which though. Also, I'm not sure if everything punctuation and content wise in that example is accurate, it's just a gist: you see two numbers. One of them is usually 1 so look at the other

I think the command is something along the lines of: :host item_melee-umbrella 1 5 The first number, in this case 1, is the quantity of the item. Usually it is 1, but sometimes it's 2 for water pistols, golden Uzis, or something like that. The second number, in this case 5, is the duration of the auction in minutes. This auction will end exactly 5 minutes after the command is processed. If you set a timer, I would bid at around 4:59 or sooner depending on your reaction time and Internet connection. |
