Maybe it could set up a system where it would say for the capping team: (Base 2 was captured by [PLACEHOLDER GANG NAME], congrats!), and for the capped team: (Base 2 was captured by [PLACEHOLD GANG NAME AGAIN], go get it back!).

My idea to an alternate means for basing is to have a bunch of ships your squad can travel to. Each ship can have different lay outs, sizes, and NPC's to fight. The squad could try to raid and capture as many supplies or resources from the ship and their could be a leaderboard that keeps track of the total resources/ supplies the squad has captured. Also maybe squads could be enlisted with providing security againsts raiding squads for certain ships in exchange for resources/supplies. This would keep competition between squads in tact while providing an entertaining alternative.

I like it alot, so its like an ongoing fight? Even if your online you can have npcs defend yout ship?

Also should be able to upgrade your defenses so it is harder for people to raid your ship.

Yeah thats what i was thinking, with the supplies you could like buy npcs to help you guard the ship or use your supplies to upgrade your defenses , but i dont know what you could use to record for the leaderboards, but this is a great idea i really hope they implement something like this.

Yeah maybe each guild could start out with 500 supplies to buy mercenaries/defenders and maybe like body armor and you get supplies for capturing certain things on the ship.

Basing on zone would only excel if it has a major twist from the other types of basing on the other servers. Such as the buyable defenses, yes. Or, instead of attacking a soft spot to take the fort, your squad needs to carry bombs which can be found outside the fort, into the enemy soft spot area and then place it and guard it until it detonates, which then your squad wins over the fort. This would cause strategy revolving around protecting the bomb carrier, deception, and organizing your members to certain tasks. Sounds different and compelling to me :p

i dont know who to +rep i like all of these ideas for basing on zone. i really hope they get added. theres a great chance they will be considering zone staff listen to ideas more than era or classic
