Have you seen The Hobbit?
I saw it yesterday with a friend and it was pretty good. The plot line is extremely simple outside of keeping track of the lore and names of everything. It seems to be true to the book but my judgement isn't the most accurate since I read the book about 5 years ago. Good movie, loved every minute of it. There are no boring or tedious parts like the critics keep complaining about, maybe that's just me soaking all the visuals and everything in. Definitely get your money's worth and then some for a near 3 hour movie. |

I can't wait to see it, and I'm seeing it on Boxing Day, when it comes out here. It's such a long time. It was released in New Zealand on the 12th, and half the country has probably seen it by now. Looking forward to it though. Once thing that I've been wondering is that is the camera style similar to in Lord of the Rings? Because there were some scenes in that movie that seemed really weird to me. Oh, and are the elves glowy? Because the elves glowed in Lord of the Rings and it was strange. |

I loved it. To me, the simple plot allows for tighter character growth. It was amazing! Bilbo is so much better than Frodo! Frodo just whines and cries throughout the Lord of the Rings. Bilbo is unwilling, but becomes an actual heroic character. Amazing!

Yeah the Frodo part was a little confusing at first and unneeded but kept me entertained nonetheless And that's what they did in the book I dunno what else you would expect them to add in. I enjoyed it as a whole and probably less picky than most. |

This is also a good find: http://www.businessinsider.com/the-h...-smaug-2012-12 I didn't even notice that those parts weren't in the movie. |

http://www.liveforfilms.com/wp-conte...roll-image.jpg Happy with this. http://www.filmofilia.com/wp-content...ourney_52.jpgf Amazed by this. It looks like those cliffs were shot on the west coast (and then enhanced, obviously) http://www.forafewmoviesmore.com/wp-...bbit-wolf1.jpg Disappointed with this. Is that what the wolves look like in the movie? It looks like that comes from a clay animated Tim Burton movie. |

Wasn't amazing, but wasn't bad at the same time. Wouldn't recommend going out to theaters to watch it however. Could just be my preference of movies though.

I was very excited to see it until I found out the book was being stretched out into 3 movies. So maybe I'll rent them all when they are release on to DVD, but I see no reason to sit though nine hours of the hobbit in theatres.

I love the fact that they are long and I get to sit in the movie theater longer! Also there is a lot more detail and they aren't skipping or racing over anything in the book, you're missing out. I guess we can talk about 2 years or so from now. |
