Better start.
When new players join classic they start on BALAMB island. Nice tutorial, and then they roam pointlessly for hours figuring out what to do in graal. Why not make that building with the aquarium by the balamb ship be a guild recruitment center? People can advertise their guild for 500 gralats an hour, and new players can join those guilds and get more involved into the game quicker. Hmm? Also I think the tutorial should require 50 baddie kills to pass so new players can then be accessible to the castle. |

No one will recruit newbies. It is better if they go to Graal City, and make new friends. Then get recruited by their new friends. Most guilds who advertise for recruit, usually want players that can meet the requirements to get into towers. IMO, I don't think they should get 50 baddy kills, before they leave Balamb. What if they get bored, and never finish the tutorial? There isn't many baddies at Balamb.

I don't really like the idea, good effort into it though.

I guess what I was actually trying to say is: Tutorial sucks, new people learn nothing from it. Make tutorial more in depth. Spoiler

I don't like the whole guild advertisement thing, but they should add more to the tutorial. A small replica of MoD tower only big enough to get the idea of how towers work and that you're supposed to attack the flag to take it (guarded by baddies instead of real players to prevent others from stopping new players from completing quest). Go over sparring and how it works, instead of sparring a person you spar a Baddy just to gain the feel of it for demonstration purposes then explain how it's more commonly done with real people in the actual game. Perhaps the guards of Balamb could add you to their "guild" (not actually functioning, only works in the name) and help you kill baddies in the fort and over the island. Once the tutorial is completed it leaves your name and it will prevent you from joining guilds until after the quest is completed.

I think new players would be bored and stop playing by the time they get 20 baddie kills.

The tag "(Guard)" is added to the player's name. But it isn't really a guild so it won't show up in their guilds, but only in their name. Guard names will be in red like guild members would be. Guards will also attack Baddies nearby as like counter-Baddies. Once the tutorial is finished, you are no longer part of the Guard and their names turn blue and you'll be able to join other guilds.
