Capture the Emerald-Minecraft

So I went to my friends house yesterday and we played minecraft over LAN. We came up for an awesome idea for a game and played it against each other. We had a blast.

The rules are each team has a base marked by a tall pillar with torches on it, and there is a larger pillar with torches to mark spawn. You should be able to see spawn from your base but not the enemies base. The goal is to create a base to hide your emerald in and when the game starts the first person to find the emerald and secure it wins.

Rules:
each team starts with several diamond tools and weapons as well as useful stuff like dispensers, redstone, tripwire hooks, string and all that. If you want to make it so you have to find everything that works but then the game would take forever.

Each team has the same amount of time to build

no destroying enemy blocks
no dirt lifting yourself up in enemy base
no spying on enemy team pre-hunting phase
no tnt
when making your base the emerald has to be within your base area, it has to be possible to obtain without destroying anything. No impossible to get diamonds.
once the hunting phase begins you may kill each other.
no stealing from enemy chests.
no changes to your base once game begins.
puzzles with pistons, dispensers, pressure plates and all that are allowed. As long as they are possible and can't become impossible if someone screws up.
the emerald may be in the form of dropped by q or a block. may not be inside a dispenser/chest etc.
You may not pick up your own emerald(except when enemy drops it upon death, and you can not run too far away with it.
traps are permitted

upon finding the enemy emerald your team wins. In team games I might make it so you need to bring it back to your base. If the enemy takes it and drops it upon death, you can pick it up and rehide it in another location inside your base.

I initially played it 1v1 but it might be more fun with teams. If anyone wants to make a mod for an official mode that would be amazing, just give credit please

Not sure how it would work with multiple teams, but it would be fun. I really wanna try this with like 100 people xD
