I only bought Black Ops II for the Zombies. There's a whole section working on it rather than a tiny team. =D Spoiler

I lost hope in the CoD franchise after purchasing MW2. Black Ops 2 will be pure crap. The story itself is illogical, Woods blew himself up and survived it with no scratches whatsoever.

It's just whenever another developer/producer takes over a seasoned series or franchise, it doesn't turn out too well. Arby and the Chief was a perfect example. They did some things right, but in the end, it was just... bad. I just hope history doesn't repeat itself, I'd be sad to see my favorite series turn into another Call of Duty game. And I know you're not flaming, you're a pretty chill guy ^.^ And as for the one overpowered gun, Halo 3 Needler. Whenever I was killed by that, violent images went through my mind. |

Holy Bump Anyways I got it since my dad preordered it in full. Played a few games on Nuketown 2025 and its decent. The same CoD gameplay is there, the weapons and futuristic setting might as well be a skin over the last Black Ops. Nothing about the gameplay has changed at all as far as I can tell. I haven't gotten into the campaign and I doubt I will considering I never finished the first BO campaign..I'm in it for a little zombies and Nuketown. I don't really take myself seriously when I play either, I save that for Halo 4

I really wish Activision would die, not because its games are bad or anything, but because Activision's aggressive yearly publishing cycles warrant less new IPs, less truly innovative and risky games, and less overall quality in the gaming industry no matter how you slice it. Call of Duty's insane popularity and Activision's insane greed have bred a perfect storm. All developers are now bending over to heed the yearly release mark so they can compete with Call of Duty. Look at Assassins creed, Halo, and almost any other big franchise that isn't published by a company based in japan. The market is saturating, and sure Black Ops 2, 3, and 4, may be fantastic games and/or refinements to their own, but because of Activision it is really hurting the gaming by making the entire industry less risk adverse and creative in the long run. Its just safer to cash in on making perpetual yearly releases of the same franchise until it dies (Guitar Hero) instead of moving on to something new and risky now.

Ya, I'm sympathetic to the devs that work for Activision. So many people hate on the devs for games like CoD when it's Activision that forces the games to be what they are. They don't want innovation, CoD sells just as it is, so Activision says, "why waste money trying to do something better when people are going to buy it anyways?" and this happens until the franchise is driven into the ground... then they buy up a new popular one and do the same. Yet at the end of the day people will say "YOU SUCK INFINITY WARD, YOUR GAMES SUCK YOU SUCK AT MAKING GAMES!!!!!!!!" instead of looking at the real assholes behind them pulling the strings and telling them they better ****ing hurry up and get **** done, because as far as Activision is concerned everyone is expendable.
