Thanks. What staff doesn't realize is that it doesn't have to be one or the other. You can do both quests and sparring/towers/buying stuff. Unfortunately, I suspect that they are not focusing on quests because it wouldn't make them money, unlike selling a new group of hats or themed furniture each month. What staff overlooks, however, is that having more things to do will keep the players more entertained and could even expand the player base, indirectly making them more money. A better-quality game is sure to result in more people playing it. If you think quests aren't a good idea, then you are overlooking the wildly-popular questing game that Graal is based on: Zelda. |

Quests are great but they need to be created. There's the actual issue. Resources and time needed to create them. This is what iClassic lacks. Saying stupid **** like 'classic staff cares more about hats' is just completely stupid. If the graphics team had requests for quest-related graphics: they would be made. If there is no such demand, they will do what they can do and has worked: items to sell. Until there is dedicated quest developers, its somewhat hard to do. Bitching about irrelevant **** and things you have no idea about is never going to help so will you all get off the higbey express and stop making up **** or repeating unbased **** someone else spat out of their mouth. Quest developers would not have to worry about making money so don't even bring up that point. How people thought bitching abouts hats here would help quests is beyond me. 'What staff don't realise' ... great. Outsiders telling staff what they don't realise. |

I dunno, every quest we've had on iClassic had it's own popularity and hype for a couple days, and then the whole craze kind of died down. Shovel quest, the multiple Deadwood quests, RPS hats... We need longer quests, something either constantly updated or extremely complex that would take days, if not weeks to complete. But that would require very skilled (and I'm assuming paid) scripters, and I don't think Stefan is too interested in hiring paid scripters at the moment. |

There's a reason why the most popular MMO's have 'quests' in the form of mindless grinding and/or walking from point A to point B and not intricate quests that you find in say, Zelda.

The fact that you are staff and don't realize what's out there and already made is frightening. The fact that you are staff and responded to my suggestion, the sole purpose of which was to make this game better, with curse words and unprofessional language is frightening. You're clearly a part of the problem. If you don't believe that all this stuff is developed already, then what do you make of this map from PC Classic? http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9260/mapmjx.jpg (Unsupported image host) |

Not one bit. I guarantee it. Zol's pub was a quest. The swamptown gnome/mine area was a quest. I'm pretty sure the battle arena in swamptown used to be a swamp tower that was a quest. Sardon's tower used to have a really cool quest in it. The Zorbi castle was a quest. You are the one who is misinformed. Do you think it's a coincidence that the NPC's (non-player guards) in Sardon's tower say weird stuff? That's because it used to be a quest. Can you explain the presence of the gnome family in Swamp town? That's because it used to be a quest! Don't talk of things about which you do not know. |

Yes, the NPCs and **** are left over from quests, but that doesn't mean that they are meant to be used on iClassic. There are gnomes in Swamp Town because Gnomes live in Swamp Town. Such a mind blowing concept. Even if Stefan wanted to use them almost ever script would need to be remade to work with the current systems. |
