I think that there should be spar rooms based on rank.
Like this.
Scores:
1000-10000 (all)
1000-2000 (new players)
2000-3000 (getting a bit better)
3000-4000 (novice)
4000-5000 (Average)
5000-6000 (Average and up)
6000-7000 (Veteran)
7000-8000(professional)
8000-9000(Uber)

And PC/iOS rooms. So that people can spar their own ranking and get better and not get owned by pros. That would also eliminate some boosting. People can still spar in the tourney room and everything but this would bring more players to spar and more players would get better.

As well, it would be cluttered with that many rooms, so it should just be:

LOW ELO: 1-6k
HIGH ELO: 6k+

I like this idea more than the former. It may not be too fun for newer players to experience the same heat of battle as veteran players, and 6000 spar points is a good median.  

More rooms would make it more of an 'Arena' feel. But i see what your getting at.  

With OP's idea, if you were unfortunate enough to drop below 4000, you would never ever spar again. Ever.  

That would have been 18 different sparring rooms, plus the 18 on the Facebook server. Wouldn't 36 sparring rooms, for one game be a little too much?

This. I had a thread posted somewhere that suggested an idea somewhat like this, but it followed the same principles.  

disagree with the platform exclusive rooms. Also getting below 2k is next to impossible unless you try to lose. Getting below 3k is very difficult
