Throughout years of obvserving the spar community, I have noticed that the amount of respect that the winner deserves has gone down drastically. I have come to the overall conclusion that the current spar community is full of people who do not know their place. There are countless examples of people who do not comprehend where they stand but recently it has just been pathetic. I am speaking as an individual who witnessed and experienced the reign of (Alumni), which was a three year period of complete dominance over the sparring community. If any person who reads this does not recognize (Alumni) as the best sparring guild ever , then that in itself completely reinforces my argument. The aftermath of (Alumni) includes (7ives) which has completely destroyed every idevice team and backed up their winning habits by winning the mixed GST tournament previous to this one. No, I am not saying to love us, y'all can hate us for all I care, but most of you need to learn what respect truly is & recognize where you stand. I am already ready to hear things like OH YOU WERE A SUB YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING but in all honesty, I don't really care and that is not what this paragraph is written for. This paragraph is to let y'all know that things such as messaging Thallen about being in the wrong "spar tier", making status's about beating (Alumni). These are the things that reinforce our position as being the best because it clarifies how much you value our opinion.

with emotions running high, it feels like it's about that time for another massive player-hosted spar tournament. i would recommend a first to 10, double-elimination format to make the results more accurate, and obviously this would take more than a day. someone step up and volunteer themselves to host something because lord knows i'm too lazy myself.

idk man Everyone knows alumbi are the best sparers in all of graal. They so pro they can go to era and win the gst with just swords.

I say alumbi has an in-house spar tournament just so they can know where each member belongs in the top 25 spar GOAT's.

imo every team listed nerfed itself with at least one mediocre player besides maybe apostles, but i’m not even here to debate guildsparring teams. the original topic was basically “rashard was only good because everybody else sucked” which is wrong. i’m sure he would be a top tier player right now (in 1v1) if active. not jerking him off anymore past this post, the man can defend himself if he cares enough.

Yeah there were a ton of good sparrers in 2012-2013. Peak time period for iDevice sparring plus all the PC players came over from client overtime.

Ares was seen as the greatest PC sparrer in 2012-2013 by most of the community. He destroyed some of the best sparrers of the time period. Plus back then there was very little delay compared to now.

Comyt dominated 1vs1 spar the same way Ares did back then the only difference is he wasn't flawing every great sparrer online on a daily basis the way Ares was.

Also most client sparrers who have sparred with Thallen and Ares since the early 2000s say very different things about Thallen but there seems to be a consensus to say Ares is one of the greatest of all time if not the greatest.

Just by Thallens history and spar style I think he is a very great sparrer but I agree I've see hits go through him many times. As Aguzo says it could be graal though.

There is generally a consensus that Thallen is the greatest in GST but I understand why people are skeptical about how fair it is. I am too
