In-Depth: Digging
This next series of guides will dive into the different jobs in Era and how to maximize your time and get the most money in return. Digging Digging is probably the most profitable job in Era. Although digging tends to get boring very quickly, and the crabs (on steroids) can become annoying, this job will get you to your goal the second fastest (edit: in terms of net income look into doing car missions, it is faster) Income/Net Income*: As everyone knows, shovels cost 50$ each. Income per 10 shovels: 1,432$ (plus or minus 10$) Net Income per 10 shovels: 932$ (plus or minus 10$) Time/Price Goals*: This time value takes into account killing crabs and the other little things that happens when you dig. 1 shovel : 2 mins and 30 seconds Price Goals: 1,000$: 28 mins (Approximately 12 shovels) 5,000$: 2 hrs 20 mins (Approximately 56 shovels) 10,000$: 4 hrs 40 mins (Approximately 112 shovels) 50,000$: 23 hrs 20 mins (Approximately 560 shovels) 100,000$: 46 hrs 40 mins (Approximately 1120 shovels) 200,000$: 93 hrs 20 mins (Approximately 2240 shovels) Tips:Although you may have a favorite digging spot, here are my recommendations on where to dig and when you dig in order to help you reach your goal quickly Here I have circled three areas that are perfect for digging: In the area to the top left: I recommend digging along the wall. If someone is already there, dig vertically just to the left of them. If that spot is taken you have two options of digging on the island of the holiday shop(circle on the bottom left): Dig in the space to the right of the building(where those two player are digging now) and the space to the left of the building. Finally if that spot is taken, you can also dig anywhere in the area here (circle on the bottom right): If you have another area then that fine as long as it is not in a pk area due to the fact that other players might kill you and and therefore wasting your time. Final Note: The times don't take into account how much money you may already have. Buy your shovels in BULK so say 50 at a time. Finally, Im not sure on the amount of time it takes for your shells to become unprotected so be sure to pick up your shells when you see the Rusty shovel indicator just in case. Hopefully this helped!! *Note:These values are averages

Rep+ not because I found this useful to myself but because you took time out to gather the facts and screenshots. Nicely done.

Calculate how many shovels and how long it would take for me to get 120k. Can't do math. (I already have about 400 shovels.) |

I never dissed on this thread dude. I honestly wont ever use this guide for something as simple as running in a line spamming shoot button. Its a well writin thread, best i have seen in a long time. Also holy crap only 5,000$ in 2hours? Dafuq is this sheit era. On pc you can make 14k+ an hour alone from trash picking cmon iera atleast make it 7k from shoveling in a hour. |

I believe it takes 2 minutes for others to steal your shells.

Personally I think car missions are slightly quicker and easier. But nice guide all the same.

You are probably earning more money in car mission due to the pay rate of about $50 per delivered passenger and the car gas refuel isn't as expensive when compared to digging. You can probably earn about $350+ and pay less than $50 for gas refuel.
