No more 2player mounts :0
Well today, i was going to farm with my Armour Panda like i normaly use for farming, when i tried to get on my Panda, it had said 'you can not use your mount in this area'. I figured this was a glitch, so i exited, and re-enterd my house, again, same message, 'you can not use your mount in this area' so i left the house, got on the Panda, tried to enter and it said 'you can not enter a house on a 2player mount'. well. what the hell? 2player mounts are super over-priced. (i got mine when it first came out, so yes, i spent a long time getting the time to save up.) and now i can't use them for farming? wow, well i guess getting an okay farming tool isn't allowed. http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/484888_387814441316090_1423632123_n.jpg (Unsupported image host) http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/302103_387812751316259_459111561_n.jpg (Unsupported image host) |

If that's true then that sucks. This needs to be fixed.

i can understand that this is a 'patch' so players can not have there friends on the mount, so they can enter a guild house for; e.x. If i wanted my friend uhh... Livee to go to Racil's guild house (Ventrues guild house) and Livee didn't have a tag, then i could get him on my 2player mount, and enter Racil's guild house, without him knowing at all. So i can see the problem, but i feel this was just a lazy fix.

Not just that, 2-p mounts are used for warping players. If youre friend inv you to their house ->go inside -> inv them on mount -> click out and their you have warped them. But i am too disappointed that i cant farm in my gh with it. i thought it was a glitch also lol.

Why can't they just disable inviting people onto 2p mounts in houses if that's the issue? It really isn't fair to pay such a high price and not being able to use your mount for farming.

It's really frustrating because the map is sprinkled with areas you can't use your horse - and when you hit one of these random areas it makes one get off their horse.

2p mounts are the best way to farm because the py have 5 fire breath. Its ******ed that you cant farm in your house now.

You weren't able to warp people using houses and 2P mounts in the first place. They fixes that glitch ages ago. If you invited someone to your 2P mount and left the house you would end up in different areas. Horses are probably the buggiest thing in the game (no pun intended). Like Crag said, there could be just that one little-teensy-weensy tile that boots you off the horse completely wreck you out of nowhere. The castle was where the problem was because whenever you're in proximity you get kicked off. They really need to smoothen out the no mount zones. That's just ridiculous. This doesn't solve problems, it creates new ones. |

Not really. 2-player mounts are absolutely riddled with various glitches and exploits, and this is the simplest way to crush them all in one fell swoop. I could have either sat last night and looked through the tons of code that deals with 2-player mounts and houses and hoped that I patched up all the various exploits players have been using or I could do it this way. If players didn't seem to just absolutely love exploiting 2-player mounts to glitch this wouldn't be a problem, but they do. The day before yesterday I sat and patched up one exploit for glitching over walls and I get on last night and lo and behold they have found another way to glitch over walls with 2-player mounts. I will keep looking into this, but until then they will stay disabled in houses. |

How about "you can't invite your friend to your 2 pklayer mount in this area/your guildhouse" instead that? |

This is the problem. I can patch that... but there are other exploits. Then I can patch those, but there are more... When I say 2-player mounts are nothing but glitch-fests, I mean it. Their implementation is poor and all it does is introduce ways for people to get on walls. Almost any sort of wall-glitching can be traced back to them. Now we're left with the mess and can do nothing but sit and tediously clean up each individual exploit players seem to find with them since getting to the root of the problem is nearly impossible now. |

why not just lock it out of other player's houses? if they want to farm, they can use there own house/guild house.

Like I said, I'm not done with them but it's going to remain like this until I find the time to comb through all the code. You guys have no idea what sort of mess these mounts have caused, and they were never really properly addressed. All this did was add more work load to staff who constantly have to deal with reports of wall glitchers, and make releasing new stuff a bit of a pain because instead of playing properly people just glitch over. Then you have the levels themselves which are an absolute mess because you have to sprinkle blocking NPCs over everything, and then there are anti-glitching NPCs that were scripted just to tackle the issue. |
