Unfortunately, I never took the competitive aspect of this game seriously. You actually can't, if you consider the fact that this game has competitive aspects alongside significant issues such as not having dedicated servers, cheating, the server generally performs poorly, and lack of new content doesn't warrant any time for a competitive mindset.
The biggest issue is lag/delay from foreign players. A lot of people from Brazil or countries outside the U.S that simply have poor connection, and it isn't ideal or fun to play against players where you need to predict 10 tiles ahead to hit them, nor should it be. Dedicated servers don't exist in this game, so it's impossible to have a truly accurate and fair spar. With cheaters now running rampant, don't even bother sparring anymore.
I'm not the one to say whether or not if something is broken, but Graal Online Classic sparring can most definitely be classified as broken and unplayable.
