The show is not supppsed to be a pity party for Hannah and the viewers crying over her because she's such a likeable and amazing character. It's about how her death could have been prevented if something had changed.
Also, considering what these characters did to her, they deserve to hear the harsh truth. They killed her. She's not a saint but that's not what the show is trying to make her look like.

I don't think she should be a saint, if she were some innocent girl who's never done anything wrong that'd just be bad writing. But my point is if you are going to write a show that addresses the issue of suicide, she should be in a position where you can feel sympathy for victims so that
you, the viewer, want to help make a change.
