I rarely used nfc, paying stuff with my phone is convenient sure, but why? Why not use your credit card? The r/w p2p feature is nice though
I always avoid upgrading every time a new flagship is released, it feels useless as I don't need the extra processing power, I am satisfied with what I have and I mostly upgrade when my phone needs repair for the 2nd time in its life span.
Yeah if you use something like AutoCAD
what I hate about Apple products is how expensive they are, but they're premium so its not unexpected.

See NFC is useful if you're in college working on a large project in a group and wanna share files quickly whenever you meet up. Or even for work, I've used it a couple of times. Personally I seldom use Google Pay since I usually carry cash on me and it makes me feel richer(lel). It is convenient however when you want to go out into the town and don't wanna carry all this extra junk you don't really need. Just a phone and an ID. But yea, I agree. Samsung Pay is ALMOST at the level of being more convenient than gimmicky but I don't see NFC payments really all that useful yet. Data transferring however is where it rocks. The difference between NFC and Bluetooth is that NFC can remain on without draining any battery life so whenever I need to pair something up, I always go for NFC over Bluetooth if possible.
I also have a few NFC tags in quiet a few places to just easily change phone modes. I carry around the Priv and the 5X currently so it can be a real hassle to go and put both of them into silent modes, vibrate, etc etc, all the time. I keep one in my bag for classes to put it on silent, (priorities going to my Pebble), one in the car for vibrate, and one at home for alarms. It's actually really useful and anybody who has NFC in their phones and don't use it... Smh. You can literally buy a pack of 12 tags for like $4.
But yea, I do feel like while the 810-820 cpu difference is supposedly twice that of the 810, I've never had a problem opening up apps on my 5X, which only uses an 808. This being said, I've only been using it for social media and the casual games for literally just over a month, but it still handles the everyday things well. Now do I play Modern Combat 5 on this thing at high res? Oh dear God no. Like even on the Priv that game stutters occasionally(honestly I think it's the server... Once it became free the whole game bogged down... Silly people who didn't pay for it). But considering how YouTube and Netflix have gotten over like 30% of all phone usage ever, it's kind of clear that people already don't play high intensive games on mobile. Personally I upgrade every year not because it's essential, I just prefer having the best thing. Notice the phrasing however, I said best. Not the newest. Like the Nexus I use is bound to end up in a cabinet since I only bought it since I needed a cheap replacement for my older phone, but the Priv is what I'll be using for the next two years for anything on the serious side of things. I feel like people do just buy things since its new and shiny and its a status symbol, instead of buying the things they need. Like BlackBerry did a great job on the Priv, and as an executive phone(minding that execs don't have time to play games or like tweak their devices), it can hold up literally everything like email, messaging, file transfer, data encrypting, etc etc.
Like could you imagine if the PC world was dominated the same way as the mobile one? Like I'm all down to upgrade certain parts of my PC but not only do I barely use it, I prefer the more mobile devices, it would cost way too much. I don't care if this processor can do twice as much as the one I'm using right now, it's not worth the price.
AutoCAD is on the store now... I know for a fact inventor isnt... Oooh. Time to buy it. #ThanksForTheHeadsUp
"Premium" he says. No. Aluminum phones are not premium. I've never handled a slab of aluminum and said "this would be great building material". Like I don't care if it's even a 2 18ths. No. Whatever company started this whole aluminum thing being premium needs to gtfo. (Ahem Ahem HTC). Like metal is stronger than plastic... But it's not the strongest. A large sheet of ceramic is not only less expensive, if manufactured wide scaled, it's also stronger. #XiaomiMi5 #OnePlusX
Plus the whole display on the iPhone is actually just a placebo effect. You can find androids from two years ago with a better pixel density. While I'll admit the brightness on an iPhone is great, it's by no means amazing. As for the whole "Oh it's not OLED" debate some noobs say... Gtfo. Now you're just being opinionated and that's not even argued by facts. OLED displays for me are ew. If I wanted a red tint, I would put a piece of red plastic over my phone. Pure Whites on IPS>Super Saturated OLED. Like when they create true screens which don't have to be on all the time people will ditch AMOLED...
Especially for TVs too I don't know why people like AMOLED. Like on a device that needs to be charged it makes sense that you want to save battery. But on a plugged tv... That's just silly. Again, you might be colour blind if you prefer red tints over pure white... But who am I to judge... I actually am colour blind... Oh the irony. Kekz.
