Maybe don't hold shift while pressing enter? I don't know, not having that issue on my end.

I wasn't holding shift but tried a few combos and none worked like the work around to using
ctrl + w, ctrl + alt + w so in this case
ctrl + alt + enter
Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. The issue being inconsistent on my end is what bothers me.
