People don't seem to realize what makes an anime (or any long running series) great, memorable, and unique. You can't just have awesome fights and call it a day, you'll make fans lose interest. You gotta add foreshadowing, plot setups, world-buiding, and more to make the story more compelling. You can't just throw a long running series in the trash because of a "slow" episode lmao.
That's ultimately why I kept watching TWD after a slow paced season. You should embrace the non action packed episodes and take in the information they're giving to you.
